Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011)

Re-watched it recently. Cute movie. Not worth dissecting or analyzing, it was designed to be a feel-good movie and lived unto that premise.

I love the songs and Imran Khan in it. He was so endearing it, and Katrina looked so good.

I don't remember if it was a hit or not. Can someone shed some light?

Has anyone watched it?

It was a typical rom-com and a fun watch. Basic story but executed well and in a fresh manner. Excellent music. They do not make such movies anymore unfortunately - not sure why

Also, one of the few rare movies where Kat was the better actor out of the leads because Imran is just terrible and the other guy was also no good

And if I remember correctly, it was a HIT

Yeah. Plus YRF was doing well - they were promoting movies well and had decent directors to tell the stories

I mean that is pretty impressive. A mix of blockbusters and hits. I think only Aurangzeb would have be an outright flop in that list

The movie was fine timepass but the the characters of Imraan and especially Katrina were so manipulative. They didn't want to run away and get married because people would make fun of them, so they manipulated his brother to run away with his ex-girlfriend.😆

Like what about his reputation?😆

One of my fav movies! I miss Bollywood from the 2005-2018 era

I loved it.Kat was decent in the movie.loved imran kat pair

Imagine if Ananya or Janhvi was the lead. It tells a lot about the quality of new gen actors.

And this is when Katrina is a poor actor herself.

Also Imran. This movie just released after Delhi Belly and both movies were Hits and well appreciated. Imran gave two back to back Hits in 2011. After this he gave some flops and Disasters before disappearing.
