So when she's not working with big heroes, there are other excuses lined up. And no Ki and Ka was not a romantic film. It was a movie about gender roles and reversal.

No one is denying that she’s relevant and has given hits post marriage but nothing justifies the hype that she’s the only relevant actress .. as far as the act in actress is concerned .. I hvnt seen much tbh

I don't think she's the only relevant actors around, but I do think she's one of them. And if you haven't seen LSC, Udta Punjab, Kurbaan, Ki and Ka, Talaash, I'd recommend checking them out

Kat and Deepika are not in their 40s

Deepika has more films releasing next year. Aspects of her role was okay in Gehraiyaan but she wasnt your typical heroine

Rani doesn’t have PR and a loud mouth , that doesn’t take away from the fact that she has delivered 3 hits post her marriage and movies .

Kareena has only relied on films with big heroes always . I am yet to see a solo kareena film making money at the BO. It’s very easy to piggy back on someone else and then have PR working the rest . She has mostly stayed relevant through social media and her little boys .

What has Ash done ? Such blind and biased opinions . That new film of hers is a Tamil film. Let’s talk Bollywood .

I meant in popularity, not movies. Only Kareena and Aish have such a huge fanbase and news about their every move out of the older 40s actresses. Obviously Kareena right now is working more in Bollywood, so she's getting the pick of all the older woman roles or the fun roles (like Rhea Kapoor's next with Tabu).

Kareena has Veere De Wedding, Ki & Ka. No massive blockbusters but that's pretty good for an older actress, especially since both of these had very unconventional scripts. Rhea Kapoor's next with her is probably going to be a hit.

Rani is a great actress, and has stellar backing, she will continue to deliver hits if she gets the right script. She doesn't have the fan following of Kareena though.

Also , I thought the definition of movie star is how many ppl come to watch Ash’s comeback movies . Well , if you talk about social media popularity and Instagram edit making fans then definitely , ash and kareena are ahead .

Technically you are right but the definition of film star is changing. Social Media popularity can help fan turnout.

Stellar Backing does nothing except give you first pick of the scripts. If you have good script sense (like Rani, one of the best script senses in the biz imo) and can act you are fine. Kareena has decent script sense, and got extremely lucky earlier in her career.

Arjun Kapoor has eh script sense and I'm not even going into his acting ability....I found Janhvi of all things better in Good Luck Jerry than Arjun in EV2. And Arjun had nothing to do in that film.
