That is insult for shanu.... Kumar sanu was too much out of date that he is only remember for such songs only which he sang in bulk quantity during his days.... Rafi is not remembered for 50s style or 60s style or 70s its the variety he has given over the period of decades... Sonu is remembered the same way he changed his style of singing over the years, mid 90s sonu has been a rafi alike singer... Late 90 sonu is known for his superhit pop albums, 2000 sonu is remembered for his different style of singing for different actors, sonu took playback singing to another height.... And has set the benchmark so high that I don't see any new talent attaining that perfection be it changing voice texture according to song/actor... Singing qawali, sufi... Romance and what not......

Sonu can never do alaap like Shankar M.

Sonu and shankar both are classically trained.... Unlike kumar sanu and udit narayan.... Both are Better vocalist than kumar sanu/ udit.... Kumar sanu was a singer with such a limited range of voice...even udit got better range than kumar sanu.... Kumar sanu from start till end copied kishore kumar basically kumar sanu was just one aspect of kishore kumar singing.... Kishore kumar was also one of the versatile singer,.... Rafi kishore and sonu see singers of their own leauge.... Romantic singers like udit and kumar sanu were bzy singing same range of songs again and again..... If u like kumar sanu it's your choice but he was a very limited singer, and in comparison to the variety sonu has given kumar sanu is way way behind

Sonu Laal Singh flop song

I listen udit narayan songs he got a good tone which is nasal free tone.. And his all the time smiley voice .... But kumar sanu is a straight no for me, I don't consider him a good singer at all uncontrolled nasal singing all the time... But yeah he got some good tunes which I like but not his singing , babul supiyo was much better and could have been on par if given more chances.... And yeah you can hate/dislike sonu nigam like I don't like kumar sanu... But sonu still will be better than Kumar sanu any day if we match the variety of work they have done. ... Better range better expressions, could change his voice to different actors,, a very flexible voice which knows no boundary in the singing filed he has done all kinds of songs.. in over all a versatile package.....

And as its my opinion on kumar sanu that I don't consider him a good singer... u can have yours on sonu, 😜 .... I don't mind at all...

In centain songs kumar sanu sound unbearable to me through the time he developed more than enough nasalness in his voice .... All his songs could have been better with babul supiyo nasal free voice .

Yeah Sonu Nigam is a pure legend, no one can ever beat him on this universe. Not only this universe, no one else comes closer to his legit talent even in the multiverse.

In fact all the singers from the past including Kishore Kumar got inspired from him, they listened Sonu's melodious songs in their dreams and their spirit level reached the highest.

Sonu really is a singer.
