My BO Prediction for LSC in china

Without beating around the bush, i am going to come streight to the point. And here it is..

Since dangal collected 2000cr , I am hoping LSC to cross atleast dangal collections with ease since it's an adaptation of a Hollywood movie in which our Chinese neighbours might be more interested than they were for dangal a movie based on two girls from haryana whose name i am sure our Chinese friends had never heard of but connected very deeply with and poured their hearts and souls and thousands of crores of money over.

Even a small cameo of amir in an otherwise all india flop movie Secrets superstar fetched approximate 1000cr from China.

So, going by the trend of amir movies in China, LSC should smoothly cross Dangal collections regardless of how it fairs in india.

Any further thoughts from resident BO experts?

Also, let me know if you come across any publicity articles or fan reviews of the trailer coming from that side of the border. I am sure amir khan must have done everything to make sure to let his chinese fans know that he he cooming soon in their theaters...please😳 All efforts will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

If there is any Chinese fan here who is stalking BOLLYWOOD from china, please come out and make your presence felt. There are more amir fans in China than all of them combined from all around the world.

Dangal china collections 2000cr which is 6 to 7 times more than all india business which was only 300cr

Secret superstar faired even much better from 30cr all india to 1000 cr in china...more than 30 × difference in the collections. 👏

He has developed far bigger fan base in China than India in last couple of years. So why not?

On the contrary, won't Chinese audience be more interested in watching the original Forrest Gump if they're aware LSC is a remake of that film? In case they've already watched Forrest Gump, still comparisons would be made which could do more harm to LSC.

Dangal and Secret Superstar told original stories, which made them unique and fresh. LSC would do well in China if it's a good movie just like the rest of the world, but Dangal and SS being original films were part of their appeal which LSC doesn't have.

All they crave for is amir and amir alone especially looking at Secret Superstar's collection where he was o ly in small cameo and yet they flocked to theaters. It seemed they couldn't get enough of him. So now that he is coming again in a full fledged rile, I am sure they will shower all the more love and especially money on him in abundance, inshalla!!

Secret Superstar did extremely well but it was also a good movie. His next film Thugs of Hindostan flopped even in China despite having Aamir in a full fledged role. So they do care about the story, even if they don't care about the length of Aamir's role like Indians do.

LSC would be Blockbuster or Disaster depending on the quality of the film. It may beat Dangal box office collection both in India and China or can also be a complete dud at the box office everywhere.

Thugs might be an exception. They may not have realized that it was amir khan in that movie since he looked completely different from his usual self. In this film in most part of the trailer he is seen neat n clean just exactly how his Chinese fans prefer so this time it might actually work.
