Salman is very much RELEVANT. The keyword BOX OFFICE. Salman as King can be a debate, but alot of Indians believe that Salman is a big Box Office draw.

After Sushant's death, no body cares about him that much. He is not a box office king.

If it's entertaining then it will run or else... Losses.

SSR & Karthik were the up-and-coming Box Office draws pre-pandemic via 2020. Everybody wanted them to continue that ride. Karthik will hopefully work hard to get to that mountain, but longevity is very difficult in Bollywood. Ranbir, Shahid and Hrithik have proven longevity, but they are not KINGS yet!

He was a draw for just 3-4 years that too with the help of remakes before that his movies used to just be average fares. The real organic stardom is that of Shahrukh Khan’s who reigned the BO for a good 15 years.

there are no crowdpulling super stars in bollywood now. the seat is vacant.

I would say so. It's not as much about Bhoi's star-power but there's simply nobody to challenge him in Bollywood currently. By default, he's still number 1.
