Rajamouli is the Farhan/Zoya of Telugu cinema. Except much more successful.

I don't follow Telugu cinema so don't really know. But Rajamouli and NTR Jr were impossible to miss because the dads are/were in the news so much. Sr Rajamouli did Manikarnika. NTR Sr was a major politician and actor.

But here they don't even know if Ibrahim has talent. Until then and even then, it's KJo's money to spend as he wishes. He is not obligated to anyone to do what they want. Jahnavi and Ananya are not using taxpayer money to finance their films.

You are right we don't know whether Ibrahim is talented though he is trying to learn as an AD not got it easy like Alia who got a direct launch

I think it is not just about nepotism, yes everybody will indulge in it and have been doing it since ages (think sanjay dutt, karisma , abhishek... list goes on)

even the south has it from ntr, ram charan to fahadh fassil everybody has some background , yash is an outsider though.

i think it is more that people have got this impression that the outsiders are getting harrased here more so by kjo and co, there is vindictivness, especially the bitchiness to all outsiders on his show and otherwise, his cliques which are so obvious and the classism

there are heirachies even within the industry

i think ajay devgan was also looked down upon same as vicky kaushal because he was a mere fight director's son which is why he never got in with this group

the impression is that in south it doesnt happen so much, of course nobody will promote outsiders at their expense but you still find a prabhas releasing a naveen polishetty's trailer, ntr jr praising a recent film of an outsider (siddu) or rana who regularly promotes good cinema, chiranjeevi and rajanikanth regularly praise young outsiders.

also most mediocres with connections fade out like the manchu family and it was like that in hindi too. sanjay dutt stayed on and kumar gaurav never made it. but now in hindi arjun kapoor and jhanvi are still around despite ruining movies with their atrocious performances

This I 100% agree with. Really, south's nepotism doesn't bother me much exactly because of what you said. Outsiders aren't dissed by a mean girl gang of industry insiders. In fact, they get regularly promoted provided there is some talent. Luck matters, too, of course.
