I watched it two days back. As soon as I got to know that they were twins, I knew that story would good in "Alone" movie mode.

It was a predictable and boring movie.

Comedy timing was weak and only "Potlu" jokes were laughable

Kiara was there only for three songs. No role at all.

What happened to all the black magic that Manjulika learnt since childhood if she couldn't use that in the end. Comedy scenes with Bhoot Manjulika were stupid.

I was waiting for something exciting to happen and told my husband that movie is not yet ended and then "nirdeshak anees bajmi"

my husband and I watched it last night at the theater (it was housefull on a tuesday night in USA). We both enjoyed it thoroughly. Lots of funny scenes and good one liners for sure. Story was little predictable for me and especially the twist ( I called it, hubby didnt) but it was still a fun watch nonetheless. Anees is not a pathbreaking director so didnt have lot of expectations but Kartik has amazing comic timing and his dialogue delivery is on point. That worked for this movie. Tabu did great in her role and there were definitely some scary scenes but she did good and didnt overact. Entire supporting cast kept the movie together and there were many fun moments with Bade pandit, his wife, chote pandit, chachaji and Potlu. Kiara was kinda wasted but she has amazing screen presence and her chemistry with Kartik was great as well.

Overall, I can understand why this movie is doing such good business everywhere. We finally have a good, funny (also scary at times) movie after ages. Public will definitely accept this change and it shows that they are loving it. Also for a change, this is NOT a remake of any other movie and kinda original story. Thank god for small mercies!!!

Also, Kartik dances so well too. Entire theater was still seated for the "Hare Ram" song in the end. Public definitely loves to watch him onscreen ⭐️

I think karthik aryan is kind of like the new akshay kumar if he can graduate to more different roles.

people want to see fresh faces, not the same 4-5 actors. also they want to see young actors,

one because most of our stories are written for the young, so a karthik aryan doing something absurd may look cute but same will not work now for a salman or akshay.

two, the audience who visits theaters is mostly young and they want to watch somebody of their age, the 50+ heros are past their prime and their fans are also older who probably won't watch movies prolificaly

I found the movie very nice till the interval. Even after the interval the movie was quite enjoyable but I found the family get-together with the bhoot, in the end, quite melodramatic. It was like a saas-bahu element in horror comedy movie.😳

Tabu was the best thing for me in the movie. She could have scared me with that manjolika look if I met her in dark..😆 Also I was surprised how they made her look so young in some of those before marriage scenes. It was like seeing that younger Tabu of 90s.

Kartik Aryan was more likeable the Akshay in the movie. Akshay me kameenapan jhalakta hai. Par Kartik me waisa nahi hai, even while fooling away all those people. Overall I was impressed with Kartik too.

Kiara on the other hand.... She is cute & gorgeous but there's something about her that is very aloof and superficial. I can't exactly put my finger on it but she seems like a model playing a character in movie but cant really form that attachment with the character or the audience.

P.s. the one thing that really pissed me off was the Gau Mutra jibe thrown casually by the pandatain. It's as if some people want to normalise these gaumutra jokes. A big 👎🏼 for this. Us dialogue ke baad wakai me mera mood kharab ho gaya tha.

Yar.. maza nahi aya 😢

Loved Kartik in this though. It was a stress buster kinda movie. Potlu scenes were funny. It was scary in some places. But ending was like meh disappointed. The grandeur and everything of the so called 'Haveli' was missing. Kartik was good.

Everyone was seated for the Title Track. That never happens. Mostly people leave as soon as the movie ends.
