The protagonist(Arjun) started playing again to be the hero his son(Kittu) wants or feels he is, to gain respect in his son's eyes but ends guilt tripping him for the whole life( from age 6) that he (child) was the reason of his father's death.

Arjun left cricket at 30 because he had some medical heart issues but make it appear to everyone that he is sacrificing his career for the welfare of his wife and unborn kid, their stability. He actually said that to his coach and implied that to Vidya his wife.😲

When he was unemployed after 10 years in his 40s, he wasn't trying nor even willing to start afresh. The whole day he watched TV and smoked and the wife after completing her office work used to come and do additional household work too.🤓

When finally after the major showdown he plans to work..... he actually chooses Cricket, as a player, when he could have chosen to be an Assistant coach, knowing that the game can be fatal for him👏

His wife kept begging him for his support to run the house and how she is incapable to do all on her own but he choose Cricket...... when his wife gave him ultimatum to choose one among the two(Cricket vs Family) he convinced him emotionally , she bought flight tickets for him , he won and died after two days.

His family gets to know after 25 years that at that time after the finale match he was selected in the Indian team.

The Jersey because of which the whole mess was created , the child gets it after 25 years...

Vidya who was already suffering financially was distraught emotionally too and left alone to take care of the kid..

The kid who was closet to his father grew up to believe that he actually paved the way for his father's death...

So, he couldn't play for Indian team, couldn't get the Jersey for the kid, couldn't help his wife with finances and her emotions, couldn't provide security to the family......... so why did he do this??

His death broke his family more than ever.... 💔

Haven't seen the film but if that's the storyline I'm beyond glad I didn't .

BW needs to stop with all these Telugu remakes anyway, even if you aren't Telugu/haven't seen the original already it's pretty easy to do a quick Google search and find out the movie's whole story.

The curiosity factor is completely absent, and audience has no motivation to watch unless the story is especially brilliant/entertaining or they really love the actors.

The execution is definitely brilliant...I cried many times during the movie😆 but as the film ends and you think about it you can't figure out a logic ...... he started again to clear the mess but put his family in a messier situation and left

I don’t understand why he didn’t tell his wife that he has a heart condition, why hide it? He would rather let his wife think he is a loser for leaving cricket than tell her he has a heart condition? The story just didn’t make sense

And he chose to be a hero in his sons eyes for a few mins rather than spend the rest of his life with his wife and child, how ridiculous. He knew that playing cricket again would kill him, what a selfish choice,

arjun had the offer of being an assistant coach and providing money to his family because they were in big need of money, but he chose to play cricket to be a hero in his sons eyes

the story just didn’t make sense to me, it was just so unrealistic, when you are struggling financially you do everything to help your family, you don’t just sit around all day and do nothing and then suddenly decide one day that you want to be a cricketer again even though you know playing will kill you and leave your wife to bring up your child alone.

If the execution is really good then maybe public will appreciate it in days to come…

But you’re right that the plot is pretty illogical, like the hero literally *chose* to die to get his son a jersey 💀…

Plus not to be weird but isn’t it true that people with those serious heart conditions where they can’t do much exercise without endangering themselves are usually advised not to have physical relationships either 🤓?
