This is nothing. You should have seen some places in UP until govt wasn't strict enough on spitting gutkha at public places. Even now Gutkha is a big menace, especially in Kanpur. Kanpur has a whole Gutkha culture. You can see even very young guys having gutkha.

Well. Public influencers have a social responsibility too, to discourage or stop this, as do government, family and individuals.

LOL - IAS officers are the most corrupt lot in our country. So them taking moral high ground on ANYTHING is just laughable

Why the government doesn't ban gutkha completely?

This is going on for years

It's amusing how social customs change over the centuries. There was a time when a warrior requesting paan from a pretty girl was a code for asking if she'd sleep with him.

The IAS officer and other officers should tell us why no step has been taken to clean the bridge? We are paying Swach Bharat cess, for what? Government should impose heavy fine on people who are doing this

The fact that people are spitting on the bridge and bridge is not being cleaned everyday represents failure of system on every level, but of course, lets talk about "social responsibility" of actors
