I see Shaitaan's point, it's not entirely off base, though I don't understand her need to "disillusion" others again and again. I'm sure people can pick their battles and if they're indifferent to the PR work that goes behind moviemaking, that doesn't mean they're "in the dark" or "being taken for a ride" or whatever.

I don't care whether nepo kids fail or succeed cuz it's not a cause I feel strongly about. I don't think the less privileged actors in bollywood need upliftment from us cuz I'm sure they're doing fine for themselves if their names are on the map at all. We aren't even there yet, I work my butt off and would be lucky to earn 10 crores a year and have more than a million followers on insta, while also making $$ with paid posts even there. So why should we take up the cause of the less "privileged" actors? Doesn't make any sense to me to help 1 crore earners overtake Alia's throne so that they can earn 10 crores instead.😆

It also doesn't make sense to begrudge Alia, etc. their birthright and family connections if they are reasonably alright at what they do. She obviously did something right while schmoozing around if KJo is so enchanted and loves working with her too. I see through the PR farce and overhyped reviews, but I don't care enough to scream on top of my lungs to "disillusion" the rest of the world, cuz I think they have their own priorities, and if "nepo" factor doesn't make them flinch, it's their call. No one gets what they "deserve" cuz there is no such thing. There is no such thing as a level playing field, period.

Deepika annoys me though cuz her interviews are full of shit and so is she.

.......... but this movie is a fitting testament to some absolutely terrible "actors" making their way to movies cuz of their last names. Bias or no bias, the takeaway point remains valid there.

Oh god, i some times feel jhanvi was better than sara because atleast i was able to watch Gunjan full movie but i cannot say the same for atrangi re 😵 and coolie movie, i didnot dare to think of watching

i really want to watch her movie when i read reviews in IF, but after watch that one song i decided against it and guess what i took good decision.. poor my hubby saw the movie and said how can people bear sara for whole movie. Her acting gave him headache (hehehe i am saved 😆)

Lol same I tried watching Atrangi Re going by the reviews and especially for Dhanush but good lord did it take pains to watch her 😳. She was so overbearing, creepy, jumpy her facial expressions were jarring, unpleasant and her voice was rough and grating. I somehow managed till that Chaka chak song after that not even Dhanush could keep me going .

And did I fear for Dhanush lol everytime she smiled at him, or try to flirt with him I was praying lord to save his izzat.
