Why is SRK being so weird with Lady Gaga in this video? - Page 4

This video is decidedly uncomfortable to watch. Lady Gaga was so uncomfortable. She went into a fetal position to protect her space. I also don't buy that it was for the promotion of watch. Neither SRK nor lady Gaga mention mention name of the watch. SRK said that the watch is cheap, not really a positioning a luxury branded watch would go for. Moreover lady Gaga didn't even accept the watch. It was a tasteless gimmick on SRKs part.

In my mind, it is absolutely ok that every individual has an individual interpretation of this TINY PART of the whole interview. WE have no knowledge of the REAL background...those who think of SRK doing "creepy" things can rejoice in the affirmation of their opinion...those who think otherwise...well...they take it in a positive stride... eventually, everybody is "served" 😉

Yikes. That was uncomfortable. The cringe is immeasurable.

Indian reality shows and awards ceremonies always have this kind of cringe behavior. There are several instances where celebrities disregard the boundaries of a clearly embarrassed and unwilling participant. Yet, the audience seems to clap and cheer. It has regarded many of our celebrities as incapable of understanding boundaries. Even here the audience is cheering and egging him on.

If this is staged as some claim, it doesn't erase the cringe. It begs the question of why people like Gaga and SRK would agree to participate in such an uncomfortable interaction. I mean wouldn't the brand publicity be better if the exchange was positive and the watch well received by Gaga? I doubt it was staged. I think it's a cultural gap of an Indian celebrity who has been trained a certain way. I don't blame SRK specifically - there are dozens of celebrities who would act this way.

Those who write about "creepy" and "cringe" just write about their very personal feeling or about a biaised opinion of SRK...THAT has nothing to do with reality...basic intelligence should tell everybody that neither SRK nor Lady Gaga would fit into an idea that omits their professionalism as public stars.

Both are not only on very good terms, they also respect each other more than some people here respect them (just judging this tiny part according to their individual conception).

Everyone can see that this particular clip's been posted here totally out of context to invoke outrage .... it gives those who already dislike SRK that extra oomph to validate their dislike and they get the chance to look down on others here who openly support him. Too bad for them that they have nothing else in their outrage p0rn to diss SRK except this one clip with Lady Gaga.

Like return_to_hades said, it looks like an obvious cultural clash to me. There's a difference between how superstars speak to their guests vs some random TV anchor interrogating them dispassionately. SRK's tricks are not always foolproof and some may backfire -- not a big deal. I wouldn't jump on the outrage bandwagon to literally define him as a "creep" based on that one moment like some others have been doing here ever so readily.

Only ones calling him a creep here and on reddit are the people who already hate him, this is just a way for them to bash him and act morally superior about it. Just ridiculous..but I'm glad to see that some here calling this out.

You can have a bad interaction and still remain good friends and have a positive relationship.
