How popular is Tiger?

People always trash on him on the internet (and yeah he is a bad actor) but somehow his movies are pretty successful. The Baaghi movies are awful and have been getting worse yet they have good BO results

He seems to have more mass appeal than many other younger actors like Sid, Varun (even has a better track record than Ranbir lately) etc. or is it just because they are dumb masala movies?

His stardom peaked with Baaghi 2 being a Blockbuster, 25 Crore opening and 160 Crore lifetime figure. Then went downhill with SOTY 2 failure.

War broke opening records with 50 Crores on first day and was the highest grosser of 2019, but it was a two hero film with Hrithik in a more prominent role.

Baaghi 3 opened to 17 Crores which was lower than opening of Baaghi 2, and finished at lifetime total of 92 Crores. Lifetime figure can be excused because all theaters in India closed one week after the release of this film because of complete lockdown.

Overall his stardom is limited to Baaghi films with the exception of War.
