We usually discuss more famous superstars in articles, online forums etc.
I'd like to discuss strengths and good work of actors who may not have been huge, hyped superstars or given record breaking ATBBs etc or may not even have had critical acclaim much, but were good in some characters and films they did.
I watched some old films in lockdown and felt Neetu Singh was really good in tomboyish, feisty characters and immature, childish woman roles.
Amrita Singh is another one who I felt was good in angry/bitter woman roles and feisty, tomboyish girl roles.
I found Ayesha Jhulka very relatable and natural in simple, girl next door roles or a first year college student roles in early 90s.
Amol Palekar was never a superstar but I felt no one else played simple, common man as naturally and perfectly as him. I cannot imagine Golmaal, Rajnigandha, Naram Garam etc without him.
I feel Goga Kapoor was really good as a villain or strict father with that height, baritone and aggressive looks.
Who are the less hyped actors, from any era, in your opinion, who were quite watchable and talented in certain roles they did?
