Aditi Rao H. did better in her fifteen minutes long screen time than Deepika in the entire movie! Not to mention she looked absolutely gorgeous like the actual queen herself.

Vicky would have nailed Shahid's role in Padmavat and wouldn't have stood out like a miscast like Shahid did. Deepika, the narc, couldn't let someone else shine as much as her and her hubby in the movie... so it's a no wonder she refused to let Vicky on board!

I found ranveer’s acting OTT too.

See how negative characters are played by actors like SRK, Suniel Shetty and Ajay. It doesn’t look OTT.

Ranveer is OTT when he's being himself. 😆 I'm not really sure what Khilji's character was like in real but it looked chillingly evil in the movie. not morally grey but straight up evil... and totally unhinged. Padmavat would have been unwatchable if he wasn't in it though ... so that worked in his favor.

Had Khilji been any less than that, Deepika's subpar performance would have stood out just like it did in Bajirao Mastani... so that worked for her too. Either way, Shahid got screwed.

Deepika's poor dialogue delivery ruins all her films.

I was hoping he would give me goosebumps but he didn’t.

Infact Jim playing Malik Kafur was so good! He was the one that actually seemed so scary... He played terrorist in Neerja too. He is really good.

The SLB effects, cinematography and music were awesome as usual but acting wise, was a huge let down.

Widowed is different.

Divorced is different especially in case of celebs who mostly get divorced due to infidelity reasons.

I said so because I remembered Karisma's wedding and how disinterested her husband looked in all videos, unlike Vicky here.

What Karisma's husband did to her later is known to all. So yes I feel happy Katrina got a man who is as happy and excited as she is. That excitement is seen in mainly those who marry for first time. Unlike those old ones with 2 kids from first marriage who just go through the motions.

And say what you will but when it comes to celebs and highly rich/famous people, they are hardly reliable. They have no qualms going for multiple divorces. Aamir and Sanjay Kapur are examples. Rich and famous have way more options. Aamir, Sanjay Kapur, Kamal Haasan are third hand now. I said it. And I stand by it.

Vicky Kaushal, Rajkumar Rao are young, equally happy, firsthand husbands with no baggage of ex spouse, ex in laws and kids. Their wives are lucky to have them.

I am not here to be politically correct or make it about gender.

Vicky is also law abiding with no criminal cases or history of abusive, unruly behaviour and public outbursts or addiction issues. Unlike other so called superstars who have been in jail or rehab earlier.

So yes Katrina is lucky to gave got a man with clean record and no past baggage as her husband.

Show me any twice divorced man with 2 kids who is as happy or excited as Vicky looks in his wedding pics. Then talk.

Usually ones with age not on their side and having had bad experience with marriage earlier find it hard to get excited for rituals or ceremonies later. It is natural to feel less excited. It is not an insult.

And I am glad Katrina will not be suspected to be a homewrecker the way Hema and Sridevi are still mocked and judged for marrying previously married men like Dharam and Boney.

Bold: That may be true when we look at specific examples, but it cannot be generalized. Look at Raveena, Madhuri and Juhi's husbands. All rich and highly reliable till now. Look at the Ambanis. Look at Kareena. She has a husband who was divorced with two kids. She's over the moon and content in her life.

You cannot judge everyone with two or three examples. Not every divorced celebrity is Karishma's husband.

If somebody has a bad marriage and divorced as a result, then how is it their fault? Let me say it again, we cannot judge people like objects no matter what. If I say, "XYZ man is so lucky he got a fresh, firsthand wife and not some done and dusted woman" then it will sound extremely offensive and uncivil, right? Well, same goes for a man.

Also, going through the motions or being excited during rituals does not really matter in a marriage. That's a very juvenile argument. What matters is how the marriage turns out later. Does not matter whether the groom is jumping like an excited pony during the rituals or not.

And yes, it is an insult when you say, "she's so lucky she got someone firsthand." It makes divorced people sound like less exciting options. And that's insulting. If someone is a known abuser, then avoid him. But don't paint all divorcees with one brush.

Being divorced is nothing to be ashamed of. Lets get rid of this outdated mindset. Shaming divorcees does a lot of harm to society, especially women. It's not only about political correctness. It's about being a civil and better evolved society.

Calling any human being second or third-hand is insensitive and crass, period. I rest my case.

Also, I don’t know if bride and groom have their haldi ceremonies together 😆

In ours, it’s done separately for both and not how they’re doing it. But I am not a punjabi so I don’t know if they have it like this.

Jim is a superior actor who did the role full justice. I don't remember him in Neerja but I DO remember him from Sanju. Even when he's playing a good guy, he looks suspect to me. 😆

The movie all in all was a letdown for a lot of reasons.....starting with Deepika cuz the movie was about HER more than anyone else. She didn't command the role AT ALL and it looked like others were performing far better, with her as the weakest link instead. Not a good look on her acting skills. It's almost like people have already accepted subpar performances from her as the norm and she wins accolades just for moving her facial muscles a bit more than usual. Dialogues always come out flat regardless.

I didn't mind Ranveer's role that much cuz I was pretty creeped out by Khilji and Shahid, while he did his bit, was badly miscast.
