Was Vicky in talks with them for Shahid's role... or khilji's? Now that I think about it, Padmavat looks like a giant travesty to prop up Deepika and Ranveer while Shahid just got completely overshadowed. 😆

He was in talks for shahid's role. Its funny how deepika was being all cutesy to vicky after his uri success when she initially was the reason he was cut off from padmawat😆

She's the queen of fakeness and a glory hunter. I like Ranveer and think he did a great job playing a deranged psychopath like khilji but deepika's performance was nothing groundbreaking in Padmavat. Aditi Rao H. did better in her fifteen minutes long screen time than Deepika in the entire movie! Not to mention she looked absolutely gorgeous like the actual queen herself.

Vicky would have nailed Shahid's role in Padmavat and wouldn't have stood out like a miscast like Shahid did. Deepika, the narc, couldn't let someone else shine as much as her and her hubby in the movie... so it's a no wonder she refused to let Vicky on board!

Meh that movie dumbed down the rajas character to glorify khilji, i dont think it wouldve done anything for vicky's career just like it didnt do anything for shahid's. And OMG, aditi was so beautiful in that movie 😍.

I haven't watched the filmfare skit but of course those three are her favorites.

You're probably right. The Rajput king had a strong character and they could have fleshed it out a bit more... Shahid just didn't figure in there cuz he doesn't have the right stature for it. When Deepika the giraffe queen and Ranveer were sharing the screen with him, Shahid was bound to look like a puny character despite being the king and despite packing a powerhouse performance. Shahid was a miscast in plain simple terms. Vicky would have done the role justice. But no way in hell would Deepika let that happen! 😆
