I've seen both RX100 and Tadap.
RX100 is more raw, brutal and honest whereas Tadap has downplayed on many aspects such as the lust factor. But I enjoyed the movie. The visualisation, actors and music department did a stunning job. They presented tum se bhi zyada so beautifully in the movie, I loved the parallel and it certainly envokes emotions for Ishaana.
The only thing I did not like was how they removed the essence of rx100 from this movie. What was the need to modernise it? I missed that traditional touch. They also butchered the dadi in this one. The dadi in rx100 was more than just a sweet old lady, she was strict and unapproving but here its the complete opposite 🤦🏽♀️
Ahaan and Tara did well. Of course their characters are diluted here and I don't know why 🤷♀️ The original movie had many crucial scenes which were cut from this adaptation but it still gives the same punch at the end. Tara looked like Vidhya Balan in some scenes. I dont know if it was intentional but I personally was reminded of Vidhya.
The supporting cast also did a fine job, especially the fathers and except the dadi (but it wasn't the actors fault her role was changed).
Overall, a good movie for me 👍🏼
