Same reason why Katrina's dance numbers in her prime(except Kamli and Kala Chasma, which were more praised for their choreography and picturization).

They were not like Dola re Dola or Nimbudaa or Dance of Envy or fury, I forget.

Don't just limit it to as boys fav. It was boys favourite to watch and girls favourite to perform.
