Sorry D, meant to quote hotchoco

People get offended over everything but it's a pretty uniquely Indian thing to take over Twitter, mess up sites like IMDB, do constant enraged boycotts, etc. And it's a recent thing. They tasted blood when they did the Uninstall Flipkart trend and the company buckled and removed Aamir Khan as the ambassador. Since then, this small minority constantly harasses everyone and whines about everything and desecrates and manipulates sites like IMDB as punishment.

Couple of years ago, Twitter forced a Chinese American author to pull Blood Heir because she used slavery in a fantasy book set vaguely in Asia. For some reason, Americans seemed to think slavery was uniquely African American and the mention of it by any other culture was offensive.

She said she'd edit it but a few weeks later, published it pretty much unchanged.

Point is they forced a billion-dollar business to postpone the release. That, too, based on ignorance of incredible proportions.

I'm a silent reader on twitter, but I badly wanted to call them idiots. I mean, do they think history began in 1492?

I will say, that the Indian cells are a lot more agenda driven.

And that makes all the difference IMO. It's politicized outrage manufactured by certain groups and now this minority uses its muscle to harass everyone. They've made sites like IMDB completely unusable and untrustworthy. Twitter trends are absolute garbage. When I switch between locations, the American trends will be basically whatever big news happened that day. Indian trends will be bhakts outraging, SSR bots boycotting, celebrity fan clubs celebrating random movie anniversaries, etc. It's basically turned into a junkyard.

lmao. There have been much worse ones that too. 🤣

I don't know how I still remember it but there was a trend once Canada Ki Raand Akshay Bhaand.

I didn't even know what the words meant until I asked someone. Male fans are disgusting. They are the ones that do all this.

I had to look up Bhaand 😆. It’s always a d*ck measuring contest for male fans on who can come up with the worst insults 😒.

The point is - everything is a slippery slope.

You can call out on a certain section of people or a trend that annoys you , so long as you are willing to accept that "the other party" is entitled to do the same. It comes with the territory.

People should read up on Babar.

You can hate a historical figure for the atrocities they committed (and most of the rulers did) and still appreciate and learn things about them as rulers. (Especially about the first battle of Panipat and how he defeated Ibrahim Lodhi despite having a smaller army).

Ajab chamapk chaman hai ...if its against my fav and against my agenda everything is bad ..if its about my fav and support my agenda everything is ok ..... we will see everything with our own chasma and judge right and wrong as per our like dislike of our fav or fav goverment 😆

Kangana is worst becasue she is RW ..any trend which is not supporting her and other RW actor or movie is ok for some ...we bashed everyone light right centre because its our FOE but dusere ke pass na FOE na kuch rights 🤣
