The problem with Vivek was, he made it about himself rather than Aishwarya..she was the one who was really suffering at that point of time. All other celebrity friends were also involved with each other which complicated things. I honestly don’t understand though why they put up with his behaviour.

Kangana suffered because of her motor mouth and talking nonsense and negative things about every topic going in country. She looks like psycho to everyone now. But the fact is her career didn't suffered because of karan's power but because of her own stupidity.

When she was dropped from Bollywood movies she went to Hollywood, and she became a much bigger brand. And that attracted offers back home too.

Reg. Bride and Prejudice. It was actually received well, did great at box office and she received a lot of appreciation for the film.

She did a couple of movies in Hollywood but was she even noticed there.. I doubt it.

I don’t think it’s about guts.. no one cared. Frankly there was also lack of awareness in the country and people in general about these things. These days people are condemning a lot of things..stalking was normalised as “romantic”. To this day you will find people saying that Aishwarya is in love with Salman 🤢

There’s a reason why movies like Kabir Singh are romanticised.

Bride and Prejudice was successful and she created waves in the West with her beauty. Her other movies may not have been that successful, but she did create a stir. She got to endorse big international brands, her Cannes jury nomination, TIME magazine cover, Tussauds statue (before it became mainstream) etc etc. apart from figuring on all the most beautiful lists of every major publication. A lot of these things happened right after her ouster from those major Bollywood films, when people thought she would just fade away. She stuck around and made an impact... enough for BW to come calling again.

I think the Time magazine cover was before her Hollywood debut.

I fail to see any impact she actually created .. she is relatively unknown there (HW celebs may ofcourse know her - but she failed to create an impact on the audience there).

She would have created more of a stir had she not lost out in BW movies.

Her being beautiful definitely worked to her advantage inspite of being dropped though (IDK what the situation would have been, had she been average looking).. I remember she was paid a lot for that one Kajra re song

She was filming for her first Hollywood film when the Time magazine cover happened.

She became the most famous and well-known actor from her generation all over the world, that is some impact for someone who people thought would just disappear. Won all these laurels and achievements, and became a name to reckon with. Came back with a bang in Bollywood too.

Creating a bigger impact had she only remained in Bollywood - I dont agree, but it's a subjective opinion, so it's ok.

Had she been average looking, she wouldn't have been in the film industry to begin with. Not unless she was born in some film family.

^ I live in the US, she didn’t create waves but her name was recognizable. I was in school at the time and a lot of my American classmates would say I looked like her whenever I would dress up. PS I look nothing like her btw I get compared to Zarine Khan and Kat sometimes which is a closer resemblance.

But that was the only Indian celebrity they knew of, that’s quite an impact

Aishwarya's father actually did file a police complaint and got a restraining order against Salman. The cops warned Salman not to enter the vicinity of her house. So he landed up on her sets and continued his harassment there.

And before she could do anything about it, she was fired from the film by SRK.

Through all this, Ash realized how powerless she actually is. And on top of that, people she trusted and considered true friends (like SRK and Rani) backstabbed her. It must have been a truly devastating time for her.
