I talked about on screen too. She acts visibly bad. Off screen is a bonus point.

One look at this performance and you’re still going to ask me why? I’ve never related so hard to Bipasha as much as I did at 2:06 with that expression.

Sonam's acting and dialogue delivery are really bad. She remains Sonam in all films. She never becomes the character. Her looks are ordinary too. And she stood no chance in front of Katrina or Deepika in terms of looks or onscreen charisma. She was entirely overshadowed by Deepika when their debut films released on same day.

Her choice of films is not great either. You can see what a limited actor she is when you find her struggling to catch up with Dhanush, Abhay and Swara in Raanjhanaa.

She would not get any work if she was not daughter of Anil Kapoor. She never made effort to improve her voice modulation, language skill, diction, dialogue delivery and acting.

She was known only for so called fashion sense and scandalous statements against other actors or writers (calling Shobhaa De a p*** writer for eg).

Her tweets on socio political issues also get her flak.

There is nothing about her that makes her watchable onscreen or likeable. In every film she remained Sonam Kapoor, never became the character even once.

Any attempt to overhype her failed. Bhansali went way OTT to promote her by comparing her to Waheeda Rehman. Nope. Sonam never had talent, dancing skills or looks of classical actresses like Waheeda Rehman.

Sonam is a non entity in real life. She is discussed only online and hyped as some icon or beauty or talent only online.

Isn't nepotism what we hold against people?

Sonam isn't as terrible as some people make her out to be. But she's not good enough to be successful and popular. Some of Sonam's flicks are guilty pleasures for me, but they won't cater to wide audiences. I'd like to see more movies from her, but unless it's lightning in a bottle like Neerja it will pass through in mediocrity. Maybe she could cut a chick flick deal with some streaming service.
