Pick your favorite film directed by Ram Gopal varma

I know he's producing some garbage offlate, but his brilliant filmography cannot be discounted as well. His gangster- noir , of course, are his greatest works , like Satya, Shiva , company and Sarkar. But, he also dabbled in multiple genres and succeeded in most of them , which is very rare in Bollywood. His thrillers like Raat, Kaun , Darna mana hain gave a new direction to horror genre. Though it was rare , he made rom coms too. Rangeela, money and Kshna kshanam are cult classics.

My favorite is Kshna kshanam. Scary villian , dark comedy and ofcourse, Sridevi .

Where is Shool which got him a NA?

But my most favorite of his will always be Shiva. It literally changed the course of the Indian cinema.

Oh .. so u r from Vijayawada? I'm from vizag. And being a 90's kid, I remember the sensation that was Shiva. It was truly a trailblazer. Usually, crime thrillers like Shiva used to have a niche audience in 90's, but Shiva got everyone talking...... from students to housewives. I've seen that kind of craze for only family dramas like MPK or HAHK.

Sridevi's introduction scene in this film has an seperate fanbase in telugu audience😆. This was the time in movies, when heroines entry scene involved kilos of makeup, flying hair, abd camera zooming on tge lips, eyes and sometimes, even on the chest area🤢. This is the first film I've seen the waking up on a bed as the entry scene 😆

One more is the song, "Jaamu Raathiri". The entire sequence was shot with Venkatesh and Sridevi sitting in only one position. No dance , no dream sequence . Entire song was conveyed through Sridevi's unbelievable expressions.

Satya,Raat,Love K Liye Kuchh....,Kaun,Shool,Darna Mana Hai,Ek Hasina Thi,Company,Daud,Shiva,Kaun,Ab Tak 56,Road in other words plenty are all time favs but if asked to pick one , then a tough call b/w Satya , Shool , Ek Hasina Thi..Company too..

Originally an out of box thinker , among a bunch of monotonous sheepwalkers back then , who just got somewhat miserably trapped in his own one towards later half . Have you watched Satya 2 ? Pinnacle of paradox for someone like him..
