Sab chalta hain until and unless it happens with our favorites. Then we remember about responsible journalism, and want journalists to get sued and be put in prison.

I'm not supporting the person who brought his past deeds on this thread, but can't ignore this "chalta hain" attitude.

ssr was neither the first nor the only actor who has blinds written about him. Rajeev Masand wasn't the first nor the only journalist who wrote blinds. It's the way the tabloid culture was and it's a separate debate if that was right or wrong but currently, it's irrelevant. The man is critical and fighting for his life and I think it's so insensitive to bring up the tabloid culture he practiced in (and at the time was normalized) as a means to make it seem like he somehow deserved suffering.

He wrong innumerable blinds about Kareena, both good and bad. And I still cannot imagine wishing him anything but good health and recovery at this time. Because I don't think blind culture reflects or can be extended to just making someone appear like a villain. Celebs and journalists have a mutual understanding and have benefited from each other. Neither party is a saint, it's a business.

The time to bring up a man's misdeeds is not when he is critically ill or dying.

To wish him well and to pray he recovers is not the same as saying he didn't do certain things.

It is only basic human decency.

I hope he recovers and quickly. Too many lives have been lost already.

I wasn't specifically talking about Rajeev Masand here. But this "chalta hai" attitude is hilarious and harmful at the same time. You didn't have to justify him if you think it's irrelevant to bring his past deeds during this time. You could've just said don't bring it right now but nah, you had to go ahead and say, "who cares?", that's why I had to reply and tell that I care.

I'm not wishing him bad health and recovery either. Don't know about villain but blind culture does make someone a "molestor"...and no, journalism is not supposed to be a business. Stop calling everything a business just because it suits you all.

He wrote a weekly Bollywood column in Open Magazine, which always ended with a blind item that would drop lots of clues about who the blind item was, without actually mentioning the name of the person.
