Flop movies which did wonders for the lead actors

No body wants a flop..but there are some movies which flopped but have done wonders for their lead actors..so much so that it took their careers to newer heights and became milestones in their careers..

2 such movies which come to my mind are

Thappad and Highway

The accolades, praises and success which their leading actors saw with these are known to all.

What are some other movies which flopped per se but did exceptionally well for their lead actors ?..something which many hits haven't done for many..lets share..

Late Divya Bharti - Vishwatma flopped but saat samundar paar did wonders for her and she was popular for the short time she was in bollywood

Lootera, even though it flopped got a lot of accolades for Ranveer.

Sonakshi as well was praised but just that her movies post that were not great.
