When the women there refused to touch her male plumbing (still present), she sued them. IIRC, Candian government sided with the transwoman. Most people, most women can see how unfair this is.

That said, I don't agree with the alpha male nonsense spouted here. AB is old enough to know the clout he wields and how a young actress might be worried about pushing back if she is uncomfortable. I have a hard time believing he doesn't understand his own power or the meaning of appropriate behavior. If a senior executive at my hospital said wow to me with reference to my appearance, I'd be very uncomfortable, and I'm not without power, either.

I must be really lacking boundaries if I am not seeing any problem there. Don't people deserve some benefit of doubt before they actually cross a line? How is a simple wow problematic in any way ... just cuz it doesn't come from the same age bracket?!

We all view things from our own context, i suppose. I wasn't talking strictly about his age... just about his stature in BW as opposed to hers. There is a power differential which comes from seniority and success.

Film industry is appearance-based, so maybe it is not the same as other sectors.

Something else which occured to me: I'd be less judgemental about a random stranger's compliment than something from someone I work with. Not sure why, but it is what it is.
