SRK at his best as jealous husband

The movie success credit should go to SRK just for his acting in the movie . He looks incredibly handsome and the j factor is very funny. I feel this is the best acting of SRK. I didn't like Madhuri character in this movie. She looked stupid sometimes.

Can you blame him though? I've only watched the movie once many years ago and couldn't finish it. From what I remember, Salman is always buzzing around her and even after marriage, every time SRK comes home from work, Salman is home acting like he owns the place ... and other times he is in the bedroom with her.

What's funny is he is her "brother" in the movie and SRK doesn't know the whole time ... way to bury the lead. It was a stupid movie.

SRK was good in the movie as the jealous husband.

Madhuri’s character was very naive at times dumb.

I mean if my spouse’s friend (heck even if my friend) hangs around ALL THE TIME in my house, I would find it annoying too.

SRK's Gopal was a crappy, insecure, jealous and possessive husband from day 1 in this movie. He was toxic even without Suraj hanging around all the time. Of course that made it worse though

From day 1 of their marriage he wants her to love him more than her mom, her brother, God. Gtfo man! In the movie, Madhuri's Radha had a struggling life and she shared that struggle with her younger brother who she was a mother figure to, and her friend Suraj. She has a different level bond with them and it is not that hard to understand why she has such a bond. But insecure Gopal can't tolerate it. How can you not remember what I like but you remember what he likes... Hmm let me think... could it be because she grew up with him? While you just entered her life yesterday, he has been a part of her daily life pretty much her whole life?

I don't justify toxic behaviors. The changing shirts in her she shares with another is of course a little too much. But still, they are doing it out in the open and they clearly have nothing to hide. It shouldn't be that hard to tell your partner hey you are a little too close to ___, such behavior makes me uncomfortable. I think Radha and Suraj both would've respected that. But Gopal's insecurities and jealousy were always on a different level where his mind often wandered off to gutter on its own. If I love my husband more than all my family members that is great, but for my new husband to expect to be loved over my parents who raised me and a sibling I shared my whole life with is a level of possessiveness that is ugly. And that is what Gopal's character was, UGLY!

I am not supporting any character here...but again I have to give it to SRK in this scene ...he did excellent job according to me. Those tears and pain look so real.
I think it's after devdas or from devdas onwards he started overacting that his charm is missing.
