It was one of her underrated performances. She was really good in the movie. I would rate it as her fourth best perf. after Tamasha, Piku and Cocktail respectively, and even better than Chapaak and Chennai Express ( guess this is an unpopular opinion). I feel this director brings out the best in her.

I do remember being disappointed somewhat by this film and Deepika herself too, after an earth-shattering 2013, she came back with this and HNY. It wasn't enough for me. Although of course she is gorgeousness personified, and that screech in her voice when she slaps Arjun in the above scene ^ is adorable <3

Maybe I need to watch it again, based on Minty thinking it's better than CE [omg!] But wasn't Sonam Kapoor offered this film? I feel like the role/performance scope was too little for DP at that time. Maybe I'll see it differently this many years later.
