Udit almost sound same in all of these songs its regular voice of udit narayan and monotonous at the same time ....with passion i mean this kind of singing

such deep expressions of being sensual or erotic is something missing in udit narayan voice ....perhaps that is the reason why sonu nigam was choosen for the song suraj huwa madham ...udit happened to be a voice for shahrukh and sonu was suppose to be a hirtik roshan voice in film kabhi kushi kabhi ghum but suraj huwa madham went to sonu because udit can not bring those sensual feelings in songs what sonu does with excellence ,,,karan johar insisted that this song has to be done with sonu and not with udit ....

udit also can not sing like this ,,, see here sonu changed his entire voice texture and sounded like a folk punjabi singer

udit sang flat notes songs in majority of his carrier ....udit narayan can not sing out of his comfort zone ..udit is a very good playback crooner but not a great musician he is very limited with his style of songs and singing ,,,,, Sonu is next level of rafi he can do anything he have mastered the art of singing .....

Sorry I just don’t hear Sonu the way you do. I guess our preferences for voice/tone is different. For me, Sonu Nigam is a good singer but nothing to write poetry over. Don’t like a lot of his songs either. I’d choose a lot of singers over him any day, anytime.

Also, I’m not into erotic or sensual songs so Sonu can take all of it with him. 😆 I like depressing love songs and Udit, Kumar, KK, & Arjit does an amazing job in making me cry. The last time I cried over Sonu Nigam’s song was Kal Ho Na Ho and that was 97% because of SRK dying, 2% over the heartbeat/piano music and 1% from the singing itself.

its not about you and i ....its about opinion of experts and no one care for udit narayan or kumar sanu anymore neither they are dicsscused nor they are much appreciated by music directors of their times the way Sonu is celebrated ....anyone who know music knows that udit narayan or kumar sanu are far from being next to Sonu .... Sonu Nigam has always named after Rafi by music experts and music directors ...so its about what experts thinks about him your and my perception dont even have much value ... Himesh ranked udit as 7/10 and Sonu as 10/10 by saying Sonu is best singer in india ....Jatin Lalits Jatin said a singer like Sonu born once in a century ....no one i repeat no one celebrate udit narayan the same way .... only fans does and not the experts ...Udit narayan was never a great great singer he was just a romantic crooner and that's all about him perhaps that is why he is not remembered with the greats like rafi or kishore ...

LAWL because I care a damn or respect Himesh Reshamiya’s opinion or musical expertise. He even likes the sound of his own voice, so I wouldn’t trust his opinion. 🤣

I don’t need an expert to tell me what my ear likes to hear. Even if Mohammad Rafi himself told me that Sonu Nigam is the best, it doesn’t change a single thing. I like Udit Narayan and the previously mentioned singers (Kumar, KK, Arijit) waaaaaaaaaaay more than him. Period ☺️

P.S. I cried in the Agneepath song but that had a lot to do with HR looking devastated and the lyrics of the song.

these awards doesn't define the greatness,,, udit got an national award for a very lame song called chote chote sapne hain which is not even a hit song and no one knows regarding that song a pathetic choice of jury the entire music industry was flabbergasted ...and same year sonu had mera rang de basanti chola from the legend of bhagat singh a true deservee ...

and yeah that hoooooohhhh is a music director first and udit got many of good songs which is composed by himesh ..a music director knows the limitation of a singer .....and not only himesh no one consider udit narayan a great singer to say ... no one never tagged him in greats ...he was once upon a time singer who is not even known today like rafi kishore

its your personal preferences but do not rate a mediocre udit narayan with versatile sonu nigam its an insult to music ...u can love udit but that doesnt change the fact that Udit was a MONOTONOUS singer
