Chhichhore was the best movie of 2019, not Gully Boy? - Page 2

I loved Chichhore. It has a sense of nostalgia which I think is above everything for me. It actually made me miss my 2 years of college, friends, random pranks, being a cupid, n most importantly my competitive self. Also it didn't come across as preachy to me. Though the hospital story thing is filmy but that's the magic of cinema.

On the other hand I didn't enjoy the performances of Gully Boy but the story strikes a chord in my heart because dreaming way above your situation or means comes with its own set of issues. Also till the time you don't prove yourself no but you are your only support, even parents don't stand by. So Gully has a special space in my list.

For me Chichhore is a more happy film, not like flawless, but even the flaws are beautiful ❤️. Sexa, Acid, Mummy, Maya, Anni, Derek, Danda they all have been a part of our college days in one way or the other. We all had an H3 H4 battle❤️

Gully Boy was overrated AF. I want another movie with Ranveer and Alia in full flair...GB dint do justice yo them .

Chhichhore..Watched it twice in theatres and what a wonderful movie ..It has tremendous repeat value and yes a really good message.

I think as a movie Gully boy is better and it's a good watch but it definitely wasn't as good as it was made to be.It didn't deserve the Oscar entry and not even the Best Film or Music award..The best part of the movie was it's Cinematography and performances.

Chhichhore could have been better had they cut short the present day scenes and focused more on College life. I think the flashback scenes were the ones that made the movie good. I couldn't connect with the cheesy emotional drama Nitesh was trying to build in the hospital scenes. The old age makeup also was bad. Had Nitesh stuck to his original idea and included all the anecdotes from his College days it could have been even more fun to watch. Sush was again hit and miss in the movie.. I don't blame him for his performance now because I get he was not doing well personally and struggling with whatever was going on in his life. It reflected on his face but rest of the cast was brilliant even Shraddha.

Chhichhore however deserved more than what it got. It was one of the biggest hits of that year yet the way it was treated in Award shows and overlooked by industry people is such a shame.

I loved both movies so much and watched them multiple times. Chichore is always a blast to watch. An extremely entertaining movie. It was good for my soul. Gully boy stimulated both my soul and my mind. Everything in Gully boy was detailed, well thought out. Nothing existed for the heck of it. Every single thing had meaning. Good acting all around, but especially incredible stuff from Ranveer, Vijay Varma and Amruta Subash. There are so many scenes they had where I was like here this is my heart, just take it. It's hard to compare that with Chichore. I loved them so not trying to put them down but none of them beside Naveen (Acid) and Tushar (Mummy) gave true memorable performances. So for me Gully boy and Chichore are two of the best movies but if I had to compare them Gully boy was a better movie.

Naveen Polishetty(Acid) and Tahir Raj Bhasin(Derek) were absolutely wonderful.

I agree with you GullyBoy had better acting overall.

Gully boy was better in terms of technical values. But in terms of storytelling and entertainment, Chhichhore was wayyyy ahead.

Just like GB was a poor copy of 8mile, chichore was a wannabe 3 idiots...

GB was slightly better than chichore but even then it didn’t deserve all the “awards” it was given (def not earned lol)

Kabir Singh was the best movie

and shahid the best acting

and vanga the best director
