Yeah she might be doing Sobhita's role.

The other female role (who's Sesh's co-worker) is not very lengthy nor has too much significance but she'll have a bigger role in Goodachari 2. Although this seems to be a standalone film.

Tadap could honestly be a huge hit if its done right, and can put Ahan and Tara much ahead than his contemporaries. And action-drama seem to be Milan Luthria's forte.

How do you know this is true? Tara had 3 films before her debut film even came out. She was offered Kabir Singh and denied it. Imagine where her career/popularity could've been today if she had taken that role. Of course there is favoritism and certain actors have better opportunities but she has received her share of opportunities. She genuinely seems to be interested in masala films...not that there's anything wrong with that.

She didn’t turn down Kabir Singh. There was some kind of contractual issues where she couldn’t get out of and do KS. At least that was the story at the time. Has she gotten opportunities? Yes she definitely has. But has she gotten the kind of opportunities Ananya or jhanvi have? No. And I don’t believe the answer is as simple as she likes masala movies. All you have to do is watch and observe how KJo has promoted and marketed Ananya and jhanvi and how he more or less has ignored Tara. All 3 are his launches. What gives?!

She would never had said no to KS but her contract with KJO made it impossible to do so. Not that Pretty's role was anything short of a flower pot so I don't think it was a miss.

Tadap is something that I'm looking forward to. Hopefully they have stayed true to the roots of the movie and it will be a treat to watch but when is this movie even releasing 😕

Tara was cast in Kabir Singh and let it go herself due to date issues with SOTY2. This has been said by both her and the producer. Date issues are common in the industry and actors find a way to work around it if they really want to take on a certain film. Either way, she had a choice between SOTY2 and KS and chose SOTY2. Now the consequences of her choices and her contract with Dharma is on her. Karan can invest his money and give offers however he deems best for his business. Is it the most democratic process? Obviously not we all know that but that doesn't mean she hasn't gotten opportunities- how many 'outsiders' can you name that got 3 films before their debut? If we're talking about Dharma, even Ishaan another 'insider' is in the same boat as her with only 1 Dharma film/launch. Ananya debuted in the same film as her and was clearly more popular and well received than her post release. At some point these comparisons are just excuses. She needs to make smarter decisions, attract the audience more effectively, and invest more in her PR.

@bold: I don't think it would've made a huge impact career wise but it is a loss for Tara, considering how Kiara despite the short role saw a surge of popularity amongst the masses and directors. Kabir Singh is the kind of film you wouldn't forget and without Preeti, Kabir's actions make no sense...so that character is unforgettable.

Tadap might come out this year if the vaccine works out. Mumbai is one of the biggest markets for films and cases are increasing yet again...I doubt the producers will want to put a dent in their returns. The only way outsells to be simultaneous theatre and OTT release if they don't want to wait any longer.

I agree but it's like marjavaan. Only benefit would be the songs and exposure otherwise the character can be played by anyone. I agree with you but I'd rather see a proper character. KS was mostly about KS, Kiara actually annoyed me in the movie. What a fickle female character it was. No smile, no proper dialogues, nothing.

Arjun reddy ki actress wasnt so glum, she actually smiled and showed interest in Arjun unlike here were first 30 mins of the movie was so uncomfortable to watch because it felt like KS was forcing someone. I guess Kiara was told to perform that way so not her fault.

Kiara also has KJO so I dont think she would have faded even without KS.

Tadap is made for the big screen but i think they need to release it by end of this year or beginning of next year. It's been too long. Hopefully things work out because I think this is

perfect cinema material.
