Kajol treats Rani like the kid cousin you sometimes think of as a nuisance and just don't bother to know then, or get along with them. Rani, on the other hand, is always trying to impress Kajol coz she's the cool, elder cousin.

Rani and Preity have shared a professional, working relationship, but never a friendly one. I think Preity is more appreciative of Rani than she is of her.

The Kajol-Rani cousin dynamic is 100% spot on. We saw it on display the MOST on that Coffee With Karan episode they done with SRK.

However, the tables have turned in the last 5-6 years. Since Rani because Mrs Chopra and joint-head of Yash Raj Films, whenever you see the two ladies interacting in public, there is a clear shift of power. It's somehow more balanced. Rani stands up taller. Kajol was also seen walking out of an award show when Rani was being announced as winner, and she doesn't even clap, it's SO AWKWARD to watch. At the same event, Tanisha slowly creeps up to Rani to give her a hug goodbye, she does it so discreetly that Kajol doesn't notice.

Will come to kajol. I think success went to kajol head like ddlj, kkhh, kkkg . actually music and foreign locales and the costume designer and art cinematographer deserve the credit for those moves more than anyone else. Also i think since rani started getting sucess as kajol faded out the jealousy went more up. Also fact that adi chopra literally started making tailor made movies for rani insted of giving them to kajol whoo gave him ddlj had a role to play in this i feel. Kajol is otherwise also snobbish person who thinks too high of herself thanks to all success without looks or average acting ability and no dancing ability etc (unlike sridevi and madhuri prev super stars) means without any struggle success goes to head.

With priety i think rani considered priety and ash as her real competitors so cold vibes

O dear! Really? Well, that seems to be really crazy, but I can be very petty with my cousins as well. This sort of cousin rivalry is common, and family structures are such that they enable it. Hehe. But yes, for that to happen on a public stage is quite awkward though.

Rani and Kajol's equation was evident when they did the 20 years of KKHH interview as well. Kajol looks positively pained whenever she has to praise Rani. 😆

Which actress does Rani actually get along with? No, not Kareena. Kareena knows Rani is not her competition and vice versa, which is why both are secure with each other. Rani hated Ash/PZ, Kareena hated Ash/PC/Bipasha/Ameesha/actually most actresses of her generation.

I think Rani doesn’t or didn’t get along with any female rivals/costars. Honestly she gives off backstabbing vibes. Like her niceness seems so fake. Even during the kkhh 20 year anniversary, Rani was sucking up to everyone. She called gauri, gauri ma and Kajol, Kajol didi. You could see Kajol roll her eyes at the fakeness lol.

Kajol has her faults but she’s pretty real. She seems to get along with all her female contemporaries even karishma, who’s Ajay’s ex.
