I loved Bhoot the movie, which released in 2003. An actually scary movie, it gave me the chills back then and even now when I watched it recently, there were scenes which actually scared the living daylights out of me. One of the best movies in the horror genre.

This is how a horror movie should be made .I saw it back then and it scared the daylights out of me .The sound design itself was enough to send a chill down the spine especially the part when the bell rang was enough to give a hear attack .

The most scary thing abt this movie was that it was not set in some haveli or cursed village. It was set in urban india, in flats or buildings where we actually live . I couldnt sleep with my lights off for a long time 😆

I screamed in the movie theatre smiley36

Most embarrassing experience of my life but in retrospect the film was that good so I can attribute it to that.

There's a scene in the film where Ajay is sleeping right beside Urmila facing the other side but Urmila can't reach him to wake him up. She extends her hand trying to wake him up while the ghost is right there. It scared the bejesus out of me.

I thought it was more to do with my age and I was too young to watch the film but watching it a couple of years later also had the same effect. So, good horror film for anyone interested in the genre.

Wasnt this the movie where someone died in the theatre while watching or that was a PR stunt.

OMG same to same! I also screamed in the movie theatre. You must have been very young, I was all of 17. I was embarrassed for days on end!

But yes, the movie was scary like hell. An extremely well-made, taut suspense which was accentuated by great performances and as someone mentioned, the setting of a normal flat just evoked the chills more and was genre-defying.

I was very young (10-11) and my cousins had taken me to watch this in some theatre in Noida. I was the annoying younger cousin who would always pester them so this was their way of scaring me off😆

I think they had bribed the security guy to allow me as the movie was A certified or something.

The movie was great and well made but it didn't spook me, although there were a couple of awkward scenes for a 10 yr old😆. Urmila was awesome and my bets were on AD being an ass.

PS - More than the movie, it was Noida that scared me off🤔
