Done the research - Favourite sentence of anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers and other pseudo-science preachers. Research is done by scientists. It analysed, tested, backed up by substantial evidence, documented and finally peer-reviewed.
Theory - A technical, scientific term misused by people for idea or assumption, not for explanation rooted in experiment and testing.
