As she explained in her caption to the photo - it's Dr. recommended and it was supervised by her Yoga instructor. I'm sure they're more protective of their unborn child's health than any one else.

Pregnant women can usually continue the same fitness routines as they did before pregnancy. There are pregnant women who run marathons, lift weights, and all sorts of workouts. It is a myth that pregnant women need to rest and be coddled.


Each woman is different. Some have difficult pregnancies and need a lot of rest and relaxation. Some are fit and energized and can workout till their water breaks. Most women consult with their OBGYN and do whats right for them. Not our place to judge how other women manage their pregnancy.

Honestly ppl in urban cities etc think child birth means u eat twice the amount and don’t put ur foot down at all

Basically no activity and only eating loads of food


Such a wrong perception 😒

Ppl who are active, workout, eat normally during pregnancy, and in general go about their life normally have much better pregnancies and recovery later


I have also seen that women who have difficulties conceiving ....want to try all the tablets, poojas and anything it takes to have a baby

But won’t exercise, eat nutritious food , manage stress and do the basics first

Don’t know why ppl look at excercise and healthy eating as “Nakhre” or being “high maintenance and self absorbed”

Half the reasons why so many ppl have pregnancy issues and fertility issues is coz of the toxic lifestyles we lead

If her doctor is fine with it, I think it's okay. No mother hurts their child intentionally. I agree with Pathaka. practice is good for pregnant woman, don't too hurry to judge others while you don't know anything about them.

No one can guarantee safety. A person needs to use their own sensibility and be wise. Anushka could have avoided this pose, this wasn't necessary to do. Risk is best avoided.
