I just watched the movie once, couldn't watch again ..

Just because, she became more famous, why did he feel that bad? She was there to support him, na.. He had it in him, he could be back in form again. Why did he start to think he couldn't take it anymore and has to die?

Was it because of alcohol, he couldn't think properly, started to go in depression? But, yeah depression has no logic. But, here she was there to love, support him.

First aashiqui had happy ending. There the male lead was jealous of her success, but then he understood. But in aashiqui 2, was it also jealousy? Why did he have to take such extreme step?

He got success in a very short of time (because he was talented) but some people can't digest that success (ex: Ranu Mondal) he started to drink which became a habit. He wasn't really jealous of her as far as I remember.

Because of that alcohol and not practicing, his singing became bad and he couldn't continue it any longer. It's easy for other people (Arohi) to try and make him feel better but it wasn't easy for him coz he knew he couldn't do it. So he decided to end his life coz he didn't want to be burden in her career

It was really stupid of him to think that way as Arohi's love was strong enough to drag him back to normal life ONLY if he tried

Ohh..I had forgotten this..

hmm...if only he didn't have let those thoughts consume him..alcohol addiction can be very dangerous, I know one person in real life who suicided like that, I just feel him so similar to Aditya in this movie, failure in life+alcohol addiction..

Yeahhh...I was a kid when that happened..but when I think of it now it all seems so depressing..

Since it's a remake of A Star Is Born, he always commits suicide be it in 1937, 1954 (the greatest with Judy Garland & James Mason), 1976, 2013 or 2018. It's a tragedy. His self destruction and loss of self worth is exacerbated by their different career trajectories - and love isn't enough to save him. He needed a psychiatrist and rehab.

It’s because he felt he was a burden towards the end,couldn’t get out of the rut(alcoholism)and thought he was a hinderance in Arohis stardom.Especially in the convo she has with the manager in the end about giving up her stardom and settling down with him would have hit him hard😞💔

RJ was on a path of self destruction which had no return. Arohi's love wasn't strong enough to stop his alcohol addiction. Love anyway isn't a way to stop someone's addiction. The movie showed the reality that love is not a solution for everything.

He didn't want to become a roadblock on her way of success. He didn't want to become a burden on her. Arohi would've ended up becoming his babysitter in the relationship. So he made a sacrifice by committing suicide.

Yeah, I remembered this listening the song 😒 he was wonderful, only if he went to physiciatrist, or rehab and cured his problems...wish all would have been well at the end

The movie like kabir singh gets happy ending and movie like this, such a sad ending 😭, yeah it reflected reality but fir bhi
