Why Bollywood men cheat?

Why all successful married men in Bollywood have/had some kind of extra-marital affair?

SRK, Aamir, Hrithik, Akshay, Ajay, all have cheated their wives, and these are just the current set of married A-listers.

Even yesteryear Supestars had news or rumours of being in at least one extra-marital affair in their career.

It's really difficult to find a married man in Bollywood who is successful, and not in an extra-marital affair. If there are, then those are the unsuccessful bunch and we don't get to hear about them, because we don't want to hear about them.

This really shows how weak marriage is an institution at least for men, and they just can't be happy with one woman all their lives. They definitely get bored of the same woman after a while, and if they get an option, they would definitely cheat you.

Does that mean the common men too are like this? Do they too don't cheat their wives because of lack of options and societal pressure?

Some women also play the field.. Maybe the actresses from the 90s stayed married and didn't fool around much,the current crop won't take philandering kindly.. They will either get even or get out of the marriage

Why only Bollywood men? And why only men?

Some men and women cheat. They cheat for all kinds of reasons. Some serious ones some frivolous ones. Some don't believe in monogamy at all.

A lot of female actors have openly told that monogamy is outdated. Whether they have acted on their beliefs after wedding is different but they have confessed to cheating on boyfriends.. I won't name the actresses here as I am not their hater- I am actually an admirer of their acting.

Bechari nari is outnumbered by assertive women in Bollywood - they will give as good as they get.

Cheating on spouse was a rarity in women of yesteryears. It is not an epidemic even now but it isn't unheard of even in my not so modern social circle.

Bollywood is infamous as the land of libertines, some people there might even be ok with open marriages and exhibit variety seeking behaviour who knows.

Well there is a very good chance that at least half of it is just gossip... actually only Amir and Hrithik are the confirmed cheaters lol... Akshay, Ajay, Shahrukh all simply have cheating rumours printed in magazines and speculated by randoms like us on social media, (none of them have actually split from their wives or come forward and publicly accepted the affair/s)... so at least some of it is bound to be pure shit either spread by pr or unfounded gossip cooked up by journalists for their rozi roti lol...

But yeah there does seem to be more promiscuity in general in Bollywood compared to regular Indian society (as is actually the case in all entertainment industries when compared to rest of society in their respective countries).

That does not necessarily mean everyone is f***ing everyone else of opposite as well as same gender though, as claimed by some gossip rags and "sources" across social media 🤣

Human beings everywhere are the same. There's no need to have a superiority complex that us middle class people somehow have better morals. 😆

The only difference is that movie stars have a lot more options and opportunities to cheat. They are attractive and have money and unusual schedules and work life. Most of them have people falling all over them to be with them so it's easy and doesn't even require any effort to find someone.

I guess it's the temptation? Also could be that most of the superstar wives will take it either for the sake of the kids or the star wife status and their husbands know it that they can get away with it?
