She’s in jail for drugs, sometimes actually reading does help 😊

I think you are being very naive. This is a govt that arrests small student activists because it benefits them. "Largest political party" or not, they have to do everything in their might to keep their power. That's why they will resort to anything.

And CBI, NCB, ED, all these agencies are under the govt. They can be misused as per their whims and fancies. Just today there was a CBI raid on an opposition party leader in Karnataka, based on information passed on by BJP. Why? There are no corrupt people in BJP? Why no raids on them? Because that's how power works.

Yes, BJP, CBI and NCB will not suffer a loss if everyone of these is innocent. Why? Because they have nothing to lose! They are only being kept in custody to keep masses happy and to give an impression that some serious investigation is happening, when in fact, there is none.

The laughable arguments by NCB's lawyer in courts proves my point.

Either you're new to politics, or you're really under-estimating BJP tactics.

You mean the “small student activists” who were rioting in the middle of their campus and all over the streets of India for nearly four months straight because of a law they didn’t like?

Or the “activists” who went one step ahead and started killing people, burning buildings etc?

I find it very strange how being a university student is used to excuse all kinds of crime in India 🤔

Waise bhi all that aside, if BJP were into arresting all dissenters willy nilly just for opposing them then actual (peaceful) activists like Rana Ayub, Arfa Sherwani, etc, or left wing journalists like Barkha Dutt and possibly actors who regularly criticise the party (Konkona, Swara, Tapsee, Sonam) would be the ones in trouble, not this Rhea 😭

In fact the fact that these people walk free whilst criticising Modi, Shah, BJP pretty much 24/7 shows that whether you like them or not, BJP clearly don’t throw people in jail for just criticising them 🤷🏽‍♀️

In fact even people linked with BJP have been arrested recently by the government for drug related offences, so I think we can agree that Rhea and co’s arrest is hardy political.

Most of the public in the real world still want justice though 🤷🏽‍♀️

Mood kharab ho jaata hai

Yeah that’s is true, but we should take pride and happiness in the fact that the majority of hard working youth (and older people too) in our country do not think like these people... and the election results show that 🤷🏽‍♀️

And with regards to the Sushant case that is even more true, even many of the people on the “other side” of politics and even people from other countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh support justice for SSR!

You CLEARLY have very, very, VERY little knowledge or idea regarding politics in India. Please brush up on the basics before you make a comment. Neither do you have any idea how the media works in India.

OK so educate me then 🙂

Enlighten me as to why and how these seasoned politicians would make fools out of themselves saying SSR was murdered, demanding CBI etc and then suddenly drop the case and let everyone go after the Bihar elections are over 🙂

Because it benefits them politically. In India, people have a terribly short memory and every issue is like "flavour of the season".

Bold: This is EXACTLY why I asked you to gain a basic understanding of Indian politics and the nature of the masses. You wouldn't ask this question if you had even a shred of idea regarding Indian politics and its machinations.

I know that life is fast paced and people move on quickly in India... but THIS big a case just for state elections? That is nothing that would happen in any country.

Also sometimes not knowing anything about how other countries around the world work, and only looking at one political narrative from one country can be disadvantage when it comes to understanding politics as a whole... just saying.

Where did other countries come into question here? We're talking about the SPECIFICS of India, right?

Look, no country is totally unique and different from ANY other country in the world. India is a genuine democracy with a decent literacy rate and a wide range of media channels in multiple languages from public to choose from.

I am an Indian and it looks to me like you are unfairly insulting the intelligence of the Indian public by claiming the mysterious death of a prominent actor that lead to full fledged investigation both the CBI and NCB will be entirely forgotten by the public in the few months.

What is all the more absurd is that you somehow feel that doing this would benefit the ruling party in the long term, when in reality the Sushant case being wrapped up with the death being conclusively proven suicide and zero arrests made would really make BJP look like fools.
