Much as I like Tripti, she doesn't have any projects in hand. The rest, as per me, are not that popular except PC and Anushka, but they don't have projects in hand either(Bollywood).

From this list competition seems to be on a rather low level for actresses 35 (or um 40) and under - certainly not much compared to previous decades.

There isn't really a clear number one among actresses. Everyone is kinda in the same position. That's what happens when you hijack all the competition for nepokids, doesn't matter if they are talented or not. Alia is just not beautiful enough to make launde lapade fans, and it took too much PR and paid media to catapult her to the top position. Still she's not far ahead of Deepika, Kareena or Katrina who are from previous generation and should've faded by now, but because of lack of competition, they are surviving on past fame.

Now in next generation you have Jahnvi, Sara and Ananya who are not even beautiful to look at, acting toh rehne hi do. There's only one thing which I feel when I look at them on screen, and that's "meh". This one "word" is enough to describe their whole personality.
