Oh my friend , I feel your pain.😭I am very sad. I am crying too.. sometimes I listen to one of his songs to feel better , and it works. Just listened to Chinnai Express title song.. and was thinking how can a voice like this disappear. I am sure it will be heared forever.❤️

Ironically, his own songs and voice are currently soothing and healing me 😭 ❤️

i’m watching his smiling face and naughty self in Super Singer Tamil and other concerts. He was full of life. That somehow makes me feel better. He had always said he didn’t want to die, he was a happy person and he wanted to be remembered so forever.

He was younger than everyone else. As you said ..he was full of life.. and I like to see him singing live in conserts. He spreeded love and happiness. And I though didn't understand his songs when I first listened to his songs : Dil Deewana and Saathiya .. but his voice touched my soul deeply.. I cried the first time I listened to his song : My love meri priyatama from Love. Then asked my sister. Am I a fan of Salman because of this gr8 playback singer ! 😲 Now.. I know the answer. My heart is broken🥺 as my first love has gone .😭

How SPB helped a teenage Viswanathan Anand for a national championship
For many in South India, their first ever introduction to the world of music was through the voice SP Balasubrahmanyam. But for a 14-year-old teenager from Chennai who was passionately pursuing a career in chess, the legendary singer was much more. In 1983, SPB chose to sponsor a chess team named 'Madras Colts' for a national championship. He had heard through a friend that the team had a very talented teenager and needed a sponsor for the tournament. SPB readily agreed and handed over the amount to the organisers. And it was this tournament that propelled the 14-year-old chess prodigy and now world renowned chess player, Vishwanthan Anand, to national fame. In a tweet after SPB's death was announced, Anand expressed his gratitude for the very first sponsorship he got. "It was a 4 member team and it meant a lot for them to go to Mumbai and play the tournament," says Aruna, Vishwanathan Anand's wife. "It was one of the tournaments that really helped Anand grow in the national circuit," she adds.
SPB had even attended the felicitation ceremony for the player following the tournament.
spb is legend n blessed soul ❤️

He was younger than many other legends. He was doing fine, he was alright until this virus infected him.
lastly when his lungs started deteriorating, doctors told him that a lung transplant could help him. SPB sir replied them not to use his name, fame or money, and to treat him like any other common man. If they can get a donor without revealing his name, ok. If not, then let him go. He didn’t want anyone to sacrifice his life for him. Such was his humility.
the last words he told his wife: I’m going to the hospital to recover as I don’t want to contaminate the children. I will return and win this challenge. If I don’t return, be strong and you have to take care of everyone and this family, be their pillar of strength so that I’m not missed. He truly loved his family. Such a gem he was.
A rare person who can only have well wishers and 0 haters. A voice everyone will fall for.
he is an essential part of my childhood. I can already feel the void.

Thank you @LP . Reading these things make me love him even more. Such a huge loss.😒 May his family stay strong and united. May his fans all across the world be patient and keep remembering him as he is still between us. ❤️ I believe legends don't die. They become stars in the sky , and we can see them smiling to us from there.😃

He is the moon. While alive, he was fondly known as Paadhum Nila which means singing moon. He will shine from above and bring a smile on our face from there too. He is unique. ❤️

One of the rare legends who respected everyone, even the small kids. You should see him as a judge in Super Singer Junior. He was cool and patient with them. He was teaching them music on the stage in a way they would understand it. A rare gem he was. Gone too soon 😒

I've just checked it.. and it was very soothing watching him there speeding positivity. 😃 Everybody looked happy and relaxed in his presence, there was no stress, or stupid starry vibes. He is very down to earth . ❤️

Now I'll check his songs from other languages too.

His only condition to judge a TV reality show was that no children should cry. And if they did, it shouldnt be telecast as they’re children and they should not be used for TRPs. He was a gem smiley27

He used to make the contestants relax with his warmth and jokes before they started to roll the show. Such was his personality. He was witty with kids, adults and even his colleagues such as KS Chithra, Mano. He was very cool

https://youtu.be/8KznjH5nfTQ

he encouraged the contestant to sing his song like Udit would have sung. Also encouraged him to sing like Unni Krishnan, another co judge on the show 😂
