It is possible they didn’t have a good relationship. Sushant’s dad barely knows anything about Sushant’s life, he himself said he didn’t care about his Mumbai life, claims to have no idea about his son’s mental health issues whereas Sushant’s sisters were looking at prescriptions and suggesting other medicines themselves. Sushant family is just not aware of what mental illness is.. and how the patient need to be supported.. I strongly feel that sushant should have told them everything.

There is zero awareness of mental health in India.. I was talking to one of my friend who is executive in biggest tech company in. California.. sHe didn’t even know what bipolar means.. she said reha gave him mental disorder...!

I was shocked.. on how much awareness is needed..or more more people who are supporting the patients will suffer..

I don't like Deepika as actor but I truly appreciate her efforts to bring tinny awareness..

Sushant or Rhea may have exaggerated 3 years of not meeting each other into 5 years who knows but it’s still a long time regardless. Lots of people still keep in touch with even dead beat dads... bare minimum phone calls doesn’t prove anything. Their relationship still could have been strained. It’s sad but Sushant’s dad seems clueless about his son’s life based on all his interviews.

Off topic, It’s a sad world we live in where people will snatch your dreams and everything just because they need money from you, family, partner and friends etc can be opportunities in real life. It’s just sad. Why money is so important to the people in a way where they are just evil? I don’t understand this world.

Sushant has not said what his relationship was like with his father, Sushant can neither confirm nor deny anything that Rhea barfs out of her mouth, so you are just taking the words of an accused, who is trying to save her own arse, at face value.

Phone calls/whatsapp prove they kept in touch, not something that people with strained relationships would do. "Bare minimum" is pure conjecture on your part.
