What are your predictions for 2021?

When the pandemic gets over and cinemas open, who do you think will rule? Who will suffer a decline in fortunes and who will see upsurge?

What are your predictions for 2021?

I predict:

1. Alia's halcyon days are over. She will see a sharp decline in popularity and ratings.

2. Jhanvi/Sara/Ananya are going to fade out like Esha Deol did. They just don't have minimum talent to survive.

3. The rise of Alaya F. and Manushi and Tripti(if she gets offers)

4. The rise and rise of Ranveer Singh and Ayushmann Khurrana

5. Taapsee will overtake Kangana and soon become more popular than her. She is going to dominate the space Kangana did.

6. Kartik and Tiger will also continue to thrive.

7. The re-emergence of Parineeti Chopra on the scene

8. Disha is going to take Katrina/Sharaddha space soon

9. Deepika will continue to rule, and will come back in full force with her next few offerings.

The ones who will continue to face rejection are:

Sid Malhotra/ Arjun Kapoor/ ARK/Sonakshi Sinha/Sonam Kapoor and they will all eventually retire

Also, I forgot to mention Salman and Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan will continue being top 3 with their next offerings.

After Deepika, I predict Alaya F. will be next No. 1. She has all factors going in her favour. She's a nepo product so will not have dearth of offers. She's already popular. She has a lot of talent, as can be seen in her debut film.

Tripti and Manushi are more beautiful, but being realistic, Tripti doesn't have offers in hand. And Manushi, it's too early to comment on her but I do feel she will be the next big thing.

RKR might make a good comeback 😳

Movie on Vikram Batra can do good for Sid M.

Tapsee might get many awards for Thappad 😂

Ayushmann will continue with his hit streak once again.

Hope all your predictions come true, but I doubt about Sid😆

I don’t think Taapsee will take over Kangana or anyone else actually . Kangana was loved right from her first movie, people appreciated her right away. Within 2 years she did Fashion and cemented her talent. It was a struggle after that but appreciation was always there

Taapsee doesn’t have star power or that ability in her. She’s also a very limited actress. She’ll be around 2/3 more years - but she’s not dominating anything

The biggest hit of 2021 will be:

Laal Singh Chaddha

Biggest flop:

Brahmastra

lol, what audience love? Only 2 clean hits - Queen and TWMR, and that too Queen opened at 2 crores, it was the content that made it a hit😆

Fact is, Kangana's box office draw is not any more than someone like Sonam

Since her 2014 hit, Queen, Kangana Ranaut has firmly established herself as one of the industry’s top stars. Several reports pegged her salary to be approximately Rs 11 crore per film, making her one of Bollywood’s highest-paid actors. By her own admission, she became “bigger than” her movies, according to an interview to critic Anupama Chopra.

But her box office track record tells a different story altogether.

Kangana has appeared in nine films since Queen, which can safely be called a turning point for her. Prior to that, she’d mostly appeared in small films, and attracted a fair amount of acclaim for her performances (Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu, Life in a... Metro). Just prior to Queen making over a Rs 100 crore at the BO, she’d appeared in Rajjo, which could only manage Rs 2 crore.

While Queen’s success should ideally have paved the way for more blockbusters for Kangana, the performance of her films post 2014 have been more along the lines of Rajjo - with the sole exception of Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Even with controversies surrounding the release of several of her recent films, especially Manikarnika and Simran, she has failed to draw significant audiences to the theatres.

Yeah but Kangana was always appreciated for her talent. That’s the constant since day 1. Despite flops the appreciation has always been there and high regard for her talent

It’s not that case in Taapsee... most people still don’t know her and she barely has any fans. Plus she’s not THAT great.
