I do not advocate for any drug but I do advocate for patients and their families to opt for alternative treatments or to look for an use anything that will help them deal with a pernicious or fatal illness in a form that is humane. I am not 100% on par with what the law is in India and all it's territory but in many parts of the world CBD is in fact being used to treat some conditions and it has left the alternative therapy category and joined the ranks of approved treatment on patients who have conditions that are resistant to other drugs.
Cannabidiol is most commonly used for seizure disorder (epilepsy). It is also used for anxiety, pain, a muscle disorder called dystonia, Parkinson disease, Crohn disease, and other conditions, and while the jury is still out on the final verdict there is some good scientific evidence and good patient reported success to support the use.How it works?
Cannabidiol has effects on the brain. The exact cause for these effects is not clear. However, cannabidiol seems to prevent the breakdown of a chemical in the brain that affects pain, mood, and mental function. Preventing the breakdown of this chemical and increasing its levels in the blood seems to reduce psychotic symptoms associated with conditions such as schizophrenia. Cannabidiol might also block or reduce pain and anxiety.
Disclaimer: NO Rhea has not hired me 😎. So I am not defending anyone BUT if SSR was indeed suffering from any mental related issues be they temporary or permanent like bipolarity or schizophrenia then it is reasonable that either he or his loved ones went the route of using "alternative" methods, and he should NOT be judged for it by anyone, in particular by a public who really knew nothing of his day to day challenges.
With that said let me mention that in order for CBD to be an acceptable treatment it has to be done under a MEDICAL DOCTOR's care and closely monitored because CBD does have an impact on other body functions (liver etc...).
In the USA for example only one Lab to date is allowed to make and market CBD that is regulated by the FDA, and only one large chain pharmacy can sell it to very select patients. The stuff you buy on the street or in dispensaries can be junk because it is not produced in a controlled and regulated environment every batch can be different; therefore stay away from that and seek medical advice.
Also let me mention that CBD is only another tool to help patients, it is NOT a miracle cure nor a cure all, and just like everything else, individuals will respond in different ways to any treatment. If abused in any of its forms it will have a negative impact, period.
I just hope that people let the authorities do their investigations, without the bias that comes from emotion or motivational gain. JUST do their darn investigating and act accordingly, no one should be giving not even an aspiring to someone else without their consent or their parents/guardians consent.
Peace people.👍🏼
