I think they can significantly limit your mainstream opportunities but I don't know about destroy. Take Kangana, for example. She's burnt bridges with most of the leading producers yet she's still going and finding strong opportunities. It's not just Dharma, YRF etc that are delivering hits today so it would be harder but there are other opportunities. Even Salman Khan has tried to block Arijit, Vivek, etc. but he wasn't successful. Are there any recent examples of actors who have had their careers destroyed by a couple powerful filmmakers?

Some people need to learn that media, PR or a production house or whatever the F is not able to make someone a star. They can make you aware that there is someone but no way can they create without substance someone a star.

There is a reason we talk about WOM when movie becomes a hit that WOM is the audience and if the audiences is highly impressed with the actors presence the rest follows. there is a X-factor which leads to why certain people make it even bigger.

Here are people who followed Sushant and you didn’t need those articles or whatsoever to follow him closely. You watched his movies and loved that.

Whatever the reason was that lead to what he did is something he will only know.

Anurag is not innocent either as the rest of them in Bollywood and just because someone died we shouldnt forget at the end of the day he was a human too and everyone have some flaws and is not perfect . God knows what happened. Who knows what happened at those parties. They all are mostly drunk and take whatever kind of drugs. Like in any other party unfortunately people gossip and talk. Who tells what and why that’s human nature some use it for negativity.

I don’t see that these Powerful people hand in hand decided to finish Sushant career. just because he said No?? They will be after him? Neither YRF or Dharma had any good movies. He still got offers and did those.

Saying his blinds were worse at the end all blinds were horrible for anyone and nobody likes it if you write something which is untrue.

SSR wasn’t without shortcomings obviously. Yrf is obviously the most coveted production for anyone to want to work with. (Shraddha still gives out feelers in interviews where she brings up YRF) Every industry has few companies that people want to work with and in BW it’s YRF, i guess.

He needed a good mentor and a support system since he seemed to have been dealing with some internal conflict . I think his self esteem got hit when he couldn’t understand the whys of the things being written about him. But if he had a good PR then we would have heard about his good deeds more. Did he even have one?

I agree...I think he lacked a good support system. Success and failure at this level can be very daunting. It cannot be easy to hear the deafening silence when you fail when you have heard the roaring applause when you succeed. Add to that all the other things that come with this profession - the media and public scrutiny, the gossip, rumors, opportunist people, etc. You need to be really mentally strong and thick skinned and have a strong support system for you to survive in this industry.

SSR by his own admission was a loner / introvert and had very few friends. It looks like he din't share his problems with his family either. Maybe if he had more people to talk to and more people to support him things would have turned out different. A person with a fragile mind, in a cut throat industry without anyone to fall back on was a disaster waiting to happen.

I really agree with the PR point. It's the job of a PR company to make sure their client is in the news and their achievements are talked about. His PR should have been putting out articles about his success, highlighting his performances and his charity...Why din't they do it? 😕
