It has never been about audiance when it comes to blinds. A major chunk of population doesn't even read such articles and just randomly go and watch a movie.

You know where the problem lies? It is when a person knows there's a deliberate effort been done to sabotage his hard earned respect and fame. Whether or not it is successful , is secondary. A healthy work environment is extremely important for mental peace. He was called a skirt chaser , a womaniser , an over hyped outsider and what not! He didn't do anything of this sort to be callled out like this publicly. If someone here is going to quote it by saying even ranbir had bllinds lllike these, please remember he went on record and had stated he had cheated on his girlfriend and Deepika and Sonam (quite shallow) made some terrible things about him in pretext of comedy.

So a blind about ranbir had a spark.

What about ssr? No co-actor director or friend ever said anything about him like this anywhere. But still there were articles coming round the corners and such ugly articles. Obviously they didn't mean any goodluck to him. He wasn't naive but he surely knew he wasn't like what he was portrayed as so he knew they were here to sabotage his career/name!

On top of that , with the girl who he had befriended while shooting, there was a meetoo allegation! That was like final nail on the coffin!

He was asked in the middle of press conference about this. Can someone imagine the extent of humiliation he must have been through? The reporter said is this why the shooting has stopped!

The end point is , whether or not those blinds did damage to career was not important. The fact that they were there to ruine his image/career was what took a toll on him. Naturally.

She doesn’t get big projects though, does she? her popularity is mostly because of her loudmouth...Take that away, she is just another actress..No wonder she puts out one controversial video or the other every couple of months...It does make her look like she is above the cut!

Except Manikarnika, Kangana's last films have been produced by T-Series, Balaji, Eros, UTV, and Fox. Even despite all of her issues with so many people in the industry, she is still getting films with the biggest production houses. Some producers can choose to not work with you but they cannot stop others from doing the same.

She was offered Sultan at one point so that is big.

Kangu mostly does female-centric movies so by default they can't be big. Even Priyanka, Deepika, Anushka and whoever had done female-centric films - all are small ones. With our audience, it's already expected that these films can only make a certain amount of money. They have to be kept small if producers don't want to go bankrupt.

It's just that films in general are a very unpredictable and shaky medium. In an industry like this, people are chewed up and spit out all the time simply because there's only room for a few people in the A-list. If you're unlucky or choose the wrong films, it doesn't take long to be forgotten.

This!! When Kangu Hrithik fiasco was happening, many people thought she was done with the bollywood. Even after she openly called out KJo on kwk agaisnt Nepotism, she got number of big projects including high budget movie like Manikarnika. Not only the movie, she completely hijacked the movie but also let her do whatever she wanted to do wit the movie. I wonder how come she did it after locking horns with so called bollywood mafia. Not to forget movie Panga with Hrithik's childhood friend Ekta.

Besides a career being destroyed is not just about concerted effort. It can subtle in many cases.

No one is saying the film industry has the most healthy environment, there are many changes that need to happen but there is a difference between destroying and limiting or hampering a career. A career being destroyed would mean you are getting no film offers and that can only happen if everyone decides to not work with you. You can be gossiped about, badmouthed, slandered, restricted, etc by some people but there will always be another set of people willing to support you because everyone makes their own decisions.

Vivek has gone on record to say that he was offered MBBS, Bunty aur Babli, Hum Tum, Rock On...at least 10 or so hits that he rejected. Despite Salman supposedly telling so many people not to work with him, he had plenty of major opportunities. He didn't make the right career decisions at all, that's on him.
