This "no one care until you die" statement is the biggest problem. That must be what every person who attempts suicide think. And its a sentiment that we should discourage. You know actual intent to die is very rare in these victims. It mostly anguish about their life situation, but most of them really didn't want their life to end, but chose it as a way to console their anguish. It's what forensic medicine teaches us. I won't disturb you with gory technical details. But please be rid of this notion that someone needs to care about you to live or that people will care once you die attitude.

Just an observation. I totally discourage it myself. I think we should be empathetic while people are alive even more than when they pass away. That’s why I’m supporting Rhea and people vulnerable right now rather than joining the witch hurt. If something happens to her I think lots of people on this forum will feel very guilty. Anyways I hope and pray she comes out of this really shitty situation and is able to move on in life.

I once watched a documentary about people who jumped off a bridge to commit suicide but ended up miraculously surviving. Anyway, all the ones who survived said that while in the middle of the jump, they wanted to live. It's in that split second that they realized their problems are really not that big but they've screwed things up badly and now their life is going to end. It was fascinating because even people who wanted to die seconds before didn't want it to happen once they had already jumped.
