She's just as daft as Sonam. I don't even think Sara and her PR care about what's going on... They're just buying followers left and right.

All this debate reminds me of a conversation between my mom and dad regarding why one person he works with does better work but the guy doing less stellar work kept getting promoted. My dad said one thing, “he doesn’t know how to sell himself, the other guy does.” That’s the same situation here. Sara knew how to interact with media better, she knew how to generate hype around herself while also looking more relatable. For example, when she was with Saif and talking about finding Kartik Aryan attractive. I found that super funny and relatable. Or when she mentioned having PCOS. So many women in India who have PCOS felt seen, because it’s such a taboo to talk about those issues normally. Yes, there’s some benefit from who her family is, but you have to know how to use that properly. Meanwhile, if you see Sushant’s interviews he didn’t know how to do that as well. I remember there’s one Raabta interview segment about a song/dance sequence and Kriti is the one to bring up that Sushant was a dancer before. And even when he did he didn’t think to say anything about doing films where he got more opportunities to dance, or anything of the sort. That sort of marketing is an important skill, and yes star kids get taught at home, but people like Ayushmann and Vicky learned it well, hence why they do so well being outsiders.

People in this forum love to hate Alia. They are acting as if all the male leads from Shushant were snatched by Alia. Now they can turn their attention to Sara and Shraddha.

Karan didnt lobby and snatch roles from outsiders for Shradha. He did it for Ranbir and Alia.

You are really misinformed if you think Alia was the first actor to get roles due to her connections. If you don't believe me, just see Raveena Tandon's latest tweets or Govinda. Both have called out being sidelined by powerful people. This practice has been going on in the industry for decades. We just have social media now so her roles and movies are more highlighted and discussed but trust me neither Alia nor Karan are the first.

Oh please, this has been going on for generations. Salman and Aamir both got into Bollywood thru nepotism. That doesn’t mean Aamir isn’t talented or Salman hasn’t worked for his place as a superstar. Alia may have gotten a chance to be in SOTY because of family connections, but her performances in Raazi, Highway and Udta Punjab prove she has real talent. Plus she’s got attractiveness and that kind of “stupid cute” persona that allow her to do well in commercial films like the Dulhania films, Two States, etc. She may be Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter, but she’s a good and versatile actress in her own right.
