I believe we are discussing whether Karan didn’t like whether an outsider like Sushant was doing so well and was trying to sabotage him. So if he it doesn’t prove anything about Sushant’s state of mind. It does about Karan’s which is very much relevant too.

If you highlight it like getting invited to KWK as some kind of achievement then, KJo gets more power to exploit and push his agenda. No wonder why outsiders do everything to get into that toxic cycle. We should be responsible too.

No! We are saying Karan Johar and his show should have no standards as all. As one of the highlights of the show is his favorite beti displaying her low IQ by not knowing the President of her country. We are showing it shows his attitude towards outsiders which is also relevant.

B/c he wasn't going to push KJo's agenda and he wasn't going to say something controversy for the ratings like Kangana or Rakhi Sawant. KWK is for stars to come and gossip about others or have KJo boost their ego.

I loved the one with Ayushman b/c he legit told him to his face how he was royally ignored by KJo and he made his own path, which to me was the highlight of the season. Like despite everything, he made it and despite getting all the opportunities in the world ppl like Arjun Kapoor don't. It was just nice seeing talent supersede a surname for once.

It's so obvious that KJo is a hypocrite, writing paragraphs for Sushant when he and Adi and what not had a vendetta.

Hey listen i rarely visit this forum and even ive seen the blinds that used to be put out on him. Despicable and self contradictory blinds. Who was behind those? There was so much going on under the radar.

Looking at sush not being invited as an isolated incident for KWK doesn’t mean anything. Yes, KWK is one the biggest talk shows for BW. We arent a country where you have Fallon, Kimmel, etc. But, KWK doesn’t have seasons at regular intervals and has been going on for very long time...first airing in 2004. It airs on a subsidiary channel of star, and likely on a weekend.

And, what do sushant and Karan have in common. Sushant, who had such varied interests, and loved Astrophysics.., and then you have Karan. And mind you, all the things we find fascinating about sush, are the very things that served to alienate him from the BW circles. So likely Karan just didn’t bother.

That said, when you look at the big picture: the blinds, the smear campaigns, the sly efforts to put him down for his hit movies, not rewarding him at award ceremonies, then yes, not inviting him to the talk show, is likely another mechanism to put him down and not give him the perceived validation he wanted.

Another thought..

Being a "good" actor is sadly not enough to sustain yourself..as we all already know. Typical jobs/careers can allow you to survive based upon YOUR performance. For the most part, as long you do well, you will be appreciated. One can control their performance and the outcome to a great extent. Now what if you have a toxic work environment..even the best of the best get affected. Now with showbiz it's a different extreme...you more or less thrive on others think of you, what sells, crazy politics, losing your integrity at times and whatnot. It is not just "passion," it is a job/career/source of income etc etc as well..but unlike in many other jobs/careers, you can't just leave and go work somewhere else if you feel your work is getting overwhelming or the environment is too toxic. If you start thinking about it in the full picture, Bollywood's toxic culture includes all these cliques, crass tv shows, nepotism, elitist - unnecessary groups, and the list goes on. So while yeah, KWK is whatever..it's nature can fuel more negativity and shunning of celebrities..and while you may not be able to control the outcome of your film, you can control the environment you work in...or so you would hope.

a lot of celebrities skipped KwK this time around right? Must be getting tiring doing the same thing again and again.

Maybe this unfortunate incident at least, will finish that circle jerk.

who cares. Karan Johar is a self hating gay man, who makes fun of gays, and is obessed with whites. He even got his kids to look white by having a white mother give birth to his kids. NASTY. SELF-OBESSED. LOW-LIFE. HE'S BASICALLY those kids in K3G that make fun of other kids who speak hindi.
