If you don’t allow outsiders to flourish, the industry will collapse.

"Nepotism is there, it’s every where, but nepotism can peacefully coexist with the fact that if you allow new talent from outside also to flourish and encourage them. Then there is no problem with nepotism but if you don't allow that, whole structure of the industry will collapse in some time."

- Sushant Singh Rajput

Mark these words. With covid, OOT Platforms, it's time that no talent will need to lick the asses of these Bollywood mafias. It's time that this power hierarchy collapse into pieces.

We will! Mediocrity has already been taking over so the day is not far. There is only so much you can promote, lobby, and market mediocre products!!

I agree with you. It's high time we start giving the right talent the due recognition and exposure. We should really raise our standards and not accept pathetic acting of star kids as the norm. I like Ranbir, even though he is a nepo kid, because he actually doesn't take his craft or audience for granted. It's high time we raise the bar and hold everyone accountable for their acting skills.

Yes he does. I could post a video where he admits to Masand when he realizes he’s in the middle of shooting a movie that will turn out bad he gives up. That doesn’t like a passionate actor at all 😆

That sounds sensible, what's wrong in that? He's looking at the bigger picture. Nothing to do with his passion or craft.

His performances prove how much immersed he is in craft. They speak for themselves.

Well if I can play annoying Bollywood Outsiders supporter spokesmen for a minute (a role that a lot of people here are good at ) 😆

Millions of people come to Mumbai to act and here he is just taking it for granted. Sounds like He doesn’t try his best if things Aren’t going his way. He should think about the people who are dying in theater stages begging to be in films. Work harder for them 😆

Basically he thinks he will be doing it forever so he doesn’t have to give his best effort. As oppose to someone who is begging for people to cast him. He needs some Sharam 😆

There are no words to condemn the act of suicide--it's simply unacceptable.

But don't you think saying things like he needed "sharam" and gratefulness also lacks a proper insight into the act? I like to assume no one under the most adverse circumstances would ever want to end their life. But unfortunately, a lot of people do in the most unimaginable ways. So this is not your normal everyday "ungrateful" person throwing a tantrum and killing himself to spite others, is it?

I just find that thought very dismissive towards people who grapple with bullying, mental health issues, and everything that comes with it.

I wasn’t discussing Sushant

I was saying Ranbir mentally quitting films half way thru production while thousands strive to be in his position (maybe SSR did who knows) makes Ranbir look bad

My apologies. I was arguing with a friend today who was saying the exact same thing, but about Sushant. And assumed you were coming from the same line of thought.
