That I feel should be the direction to this problem.

Once you create equal opportunities for both insiders and outsiders without interfering in the selection process then its a good start.

Most importantly this media bias has to stop, it plays a big role in setting up careers for people. Paying the media to hype someone, or to put down someone, to hype a movie, or to put down a movie has to stop. It creates a very unreal environment where talent gets lost.

what do you think ?

Media for years just focused to much on people sleeping around rather than the movies

The change has to come from the audience. I agree there is such a thing as supplier-induced demand, and media filling our eyes and ears with mediocrity.

But we as audience need to take a step back, and analyze our own shortcomings/taste/discernment.

SOTY2, despite being a trashy movie, did earn 60-70 crores at the box office. Sonchiriya, despite being one of the best movies of 2019, failed to make even 10 crores. The fault does not lie with the media in this instance. Both movies had their trailers released, both movies were promoted. We as a audience failed to recognize substance over style. I am not saying we made this decision consciously, but there it is.
