My college roommate`started developing schizophrenia the first year we lived together. I had known her before that and that's why we agreed to live together. But after a few months, she started doing really strange things like taping up all her desk drawers because she thought people were opening them when she wasn't around. She claimed people were following her. Her temperament was so off and she would complain if you sat next to her. Her personality became volatile to the point that it started becoming frightening. I couldn't ask for a change of dorm until the next year and it was a nightmare year.. and she used to be my best friend before it.

At some point, her sister told me they were taking her to the doctor but I'm not sure what more happened with it. We lost touch after I moved out because it was mentally exhausting to be around her. You can't do anything as an outsider and they don't listen either. Average people are not experts at dealing with mental illness either. You feel a huge relief when you're able to get away from them. It might be selfish but it's also self-preservation. Nobody sticks around other than family and sometimes not even them.

Whenever a suicide happens the police investigate immediate point of contacts. A gf/bf/husband/wife cause nobody knows better than them. A family living far away from their child saw him disintegrating within a year and this woman was with him. It's understandable why they want answers from her. And she has all the right to defend herself but not like this. She should immediately ask the Bhatts to stop talking on her behalf and release her own statement. Articles like these are detrimental to her own case. She can just let the police check his medical records and inform the family why he did what he did. Families need counselling too. They don't understand the concept either. It's difficult helping a schizophrenic person who refuses medication and nobody will judge her if she wasn't able to help him. Once the police check his record,meds and talk to the professional he was seeing, they can inform the family and further defamation can be legally handled.

Rhea deserves to live her life but Sushant's family also deserve closure and not articles like these painting him to be a lost cause.

True that. But if i was Rhea , i would be grateful to the Bhatts for standing by me in these tough times. She is being accused by the grieving family , her knee jerk reaction would be to clear her name apart from grief over the death of the former / estranged boyfriend. Will she able to think through rationally about the way forward ? ..

His family wouldn't demand for an investigation as they feel it's murder. His Brother in law is an IPS officer he will know what mental health is. He himself find things fishy.

Maybe his close friend and PvR costar Mahesh Shetty knows what was going on, he was the last person Sush called and also his oldest friend in the industry..if things keep spiraling out like this.. people who actually knew Sushant should come out and speak.
