I'm just countering the notion that Kareena is relevant due to her surname. As you said, her lineage is strong but she had no precedents in the previous generation. So her success has nothing to do with her surname.

My point is: surname alone cannot make you survive. You need to have strong box-office pull and/or stardom. The surname can only get you a certain amount of goodwill and connections, but someone like Katrina and Priyanka have shown that you can make it big without those as well. The current example is Taapsee, who apart from Kangana, has the strongest lineup.

I am glad people on this forum are starting to acknowledge this fact. Look how much Karishma had to struggle to reach superstardom even during her prime. She has been criminally overrated by this forum for the longest time. Her cringe acting was far worse than anything OTT Kareena has done. Most of Kareena's OTT work entailed poorly written versions of Poo.

1. Versatility - she knows how to make the most out of the scripts given to her. Because her talent is limited to serious roles, periodic roles, or even comic roles.

2. She kept herself in the news by one reason or another. Shahid, Saif, fights with other actresses, stupid statements, Taimur

3. Attractive (not anywhere near a historic beauty or anything) and worked hard to keep herself in shape. Thus she can do the part of a flower pot or romantic lead too. That is look good and create chemistry.

4. She might have been lazy about challenging herself as an actor. But she wasn't lazy about stardom. She always wanted it and strived for it. So lets put will power in it too. I am not sure Esha Doel or Amisha Patel has the same will power. I will put law of attraction in it too. Neither Easha or Amisha were as passionate about being actresses as she was. You attract what you want. Manifestation.

Hey I kept it brief. Tired of writing paragraphs to pass law school exams. Just got done! 🤢

Neither kareena had beauty(compared to her sis) nor acting ability first 7-8 years

Her over acting was unbearable in many films (watch kushi, yadein etc)

She survived because of her love affair with hirthik than shahid and than saif and now its tamiur

Look at her interviews quess are more about taimur than her or career

She is excellent PR person who knows how to stay in limelight and use press for her benefits (like SRK was in 1990s)

Above that shes best friends with kjo, akshay kumar and salman who give her role after roles in movies

Further she has kapoor name tag and her parents were super flop so no comparisons to anyone except karishma who was not a great actress anyways and only glamour

She gave one controversial statements after another to get press PR for many years to stay in limelight

she and saif use taimur to stay in limelight or which parent will display their kids so much in public all try to protect kids from press

And she told that she has to be concious of wearing dress too

her last attempt to get some success

Pppl who never compromise on values can never reach top no matter talent or not

Either have a god father or compromise that only works in bollywood or other industry to go to top or great success

Ability has not much role to play for ppl to reach top usually

Or destiny plays role
